I don't like programming and sitting at a computer and neither my was marks was that great so I chose mechanical engineering (highest non circuital branch I could get). I'm just in first year so can't say exactly how relevant it is for real world but from what I've heard from seniors, they've told mechanical branch is good in our college. Areas of improvement can be reducing this 75% attendance policy, and teachers have got way too much power here and they know it and abuse that too. Some teachers almost bullies you for little things, like not covering your copy, or using different colour pen, or anything they don't like, especially when it comes to teachers of ECE and Electrical department, they are worst.

There's a scholarship that is merit based. Name of the scholarship is GP Birla scholarship. Tution fees is pretty high too, including hostel and tution fees, 4yrs of this college is going to cose me almost 19-20 lakhs. I'm in 2nd sem right now so Till now I haven't applied for any internships, so I don't know much about it. In terms of employment, mechanical branch of this college is considered is good , placement rate is also nice.

My Overall campus experience has been pretty good till now. Few days ago only our main fest, BITOTSAV was there in our college. There was a tech fest earlier ,called Pantheon. And all clubs also organise many fests. There are good number of books in library which can be borrowed and i like studying in the library during exams. Also there are several sports events held in our college, and there's a gym too for boys(which is pretty small.) For girls there are gyms in every hostel.

In first year we've got really small room for a 2 people, room and hostel is clean, and there's regular maintenance. Mess menu is seems attractive but not tasty at all. You just have to swallow those oily food, on some days food is good too but mostly it is rare. Hostel is expensive too for a sem compared to other colleges. Registration can be done from ERP portal of our college including payment of fees. I would have rented room in the same locality as our college, near BIT.

You just had to get sufficient marks In JEE exam for getting into your branch. Mostly the admission process was done through josaa and at the end for last procedures I went to college myself. Im a general so I didn't have any reservation benefits. When it comes to exams, they are pretty frequent there's 2 quiz and mid sem end sem exam too in a short 4 mths duration. Exams are little tough compared to those private colleges. Management team can be improved a lot, those people usually don't pick up your phones nor reply to emails easily.
