NIT J , being a premier technical institution , typically offers courses that are updated regularly to incorporate the latest developments in the respective fields. The curriculum often includes a blend of theoretical and practical knowledge , with opportunities for industry exposure through internships , projects and collaborations with leading companies. Curriculum is well built , good enough to cover all the importants skills a student should have developed. Usually There are Mid Semester Examinations and End Semester Examinations comprising 80 marks of total. And Remaining 20 marks are evaluated on the basis of your class performance , quizzes.

College provides all the opportunities for internship . Many students secure internship in 2nd year . Students can join various internship programs . There are some clubs also like GDSC. Students should participate Hackathons and should focus on developing skills.

Students have multiple opportunities to excel in their life . Students become eligible from 7th semester for campus placements Last year placements for chemical engineering were average . Highest package . A total of 796 offers were received last year . Highest package stood at INR 51 lakhs . Some of the prominent recruiters of NIT J includes Microsoft , Google , Flipkart , OLX ,Paytm etc. Students can also try for OFF campus placements . Students can also opt for Higher Studies and can do business.

Tution Fee is based on reservations. There is tution fee waiver for different reservations. Overall Cost of education Will be around 8-10 lakhs for general category. There are some scholarships provided By institute like means cum merit scholarship , Guru Harkishan Educational Soceity,MMVy, National E Scholarship. Overall It is affordable college. Currently I am Fresher, I havent joined for any campus employement.

Campus life at NIT Jalandhar is vibrant and diverse , with students from various backgrounds coming together to form a dynamic community. There are several opportunities for socializing and making friends through events such as cultural fests and other events . Main Fests are UTKANSH (in the month of march) , Bharat Dhwani(in the month of November) , Techniti. Also There are many events happening every month like Punjab Day and other Cultural fests. There is one central library and one building as reading room . Almost every variety of books are available in the library. Infrastructue in NITJ is modern and well maintained with modern classrooms with all facilities required . NIT J have wide range of student clubs and organizations catering to different interests and hobbies . All Clubs are run by students of NITJ . These Clubs Helps person to grow exponentially and let them expore their interests efficiently .

There are 6-7 Boys Hostel and 4-5 Girls Hostel . Hostels are well built . All rooms are well built and provided with basic facilities like beds , almirahs , fan. Meal quality is great in some hostels . You are provided with 3 meals and snacks in evening . Overall Mess Environment is good . Registration process is available in Students corner in official website of NITJ. Hostels are completely affordable . There are many PGs available if anyone interested .

The Eligibility criteria for courses at NIT Jalandhar typically include academic qualifications such as passing marks in relevant subjects at the 10+2 level and clearing national entrance examination JEE Main.JEE Main happens 2 times in a year in january and march.You have to secure minimum score/percentile in JEE Mains to be eligible for NIT's/IIIT's.Level of Examination varies from moderate to high. Prospective students can find the application form for NITJ on the official website of the institute. For Entrance Examination application form is available on Jee Main Official Website. The Application process can be cumbersome and time consuming which i didnt like at all.
