Life at Birla Institute of Technology is fun, the placements are good as of what I’ve seen in senior batches.

Although the course for first year is same for all the branches and the college. I wouldn't say that the course overall and all of it subjects is relevant. As of the time we are living in right now. But we get to learn and study about every engineering subject that the college provides us with in which we also attend labs and classes and study about subjects of our own branches that will help us to build a foundation for upcoming years. The mechanical department of my college is highly equipped with good lab equipments. The professors are really chill. The exams are also chill. Of course they got to be a hectic at times but it is manageable. The labs are highly equipped with really good equipments, but it is sometimes difficult to pass lab exams and BIT Mesra.

Many companies come to the college and provide brilliant internship opportunities like a Atlassian, Microsoft , NVIDIA, Flipkart, Jio, Wipro, TCS, Deloitte, IBM,EY KPMG Infosys etc. Even for Circuital branches like mechanical production had decent enough intention opportunities and the college also provided with foreign exchange research and internship opportunities

Students become eligible after third semester for internships. A lot of companies visit the campus for hiring and placements. We have a training and placement cell in the campus itself. The placements are decent for every branch if you do perform well and you have decent academics with no backlogs. on an average 80 to 85% student gets placed. The highest package was from CSE, and was for 65 LPA. The Mishra campus has an average CTC of INR 11.57 lakhs per annum.

The fees is not constant as the total fees for a batch increases every year. Although for my batch the total tuition fee for the 4year BTech amounts to 15lakh and hostel and mess fee amounts to 3lakh for the whole duration of the course. roughly estimating the total cost, including call miscellaneous expenses total is to be 19lakh INR. the fees is a bit high compared to the previous years, but I guess the college is justifies at at least for the Circuital branches. GP Birla BIT Scholarship provided based on JEE Main ranks general category and ST/SC category candidates get a tuition fee waiver ranging from 100% to 50%.

There are 15 technical clubs, and 12 cultural clubs in BIT MESRA. some of them are really engaging and helps to socialise good and college and also helps to build personal skills, communication skills. Main cultural fest is called BITOTSAV and is the largest fest in east India. The campus is lush green it is very big. You can room anywhere around with your bicycle or by walking there is a river point near the college and the place is really, but it is not much developed and is kinda village like. There is total of 724 acres of land for BIT Mesra and out of which 300 to 350 is being used by buildings The hostel has ample space for playing sports play, cricket, badminton table, tennis football, volleyball, carrom board. The sports complex is far away but has every sports facility such as football, badminton, basketball and cricket. Also the gym is nice.

The hostels were recently renovated for 2023 Batch. Although the rooms were really compact, and it was on double sharing basis. But it the hostel had ample space for playing any kind of sport like football, cricket, badminton TT, hostel with with a TV room. People can set and enjoy watching matches, and also has ATT room where we can play table, tennis and carrom. The bathrooms are really nice in the inner hostels (H-1/2/3/4). Food here is just some days okayish.

One can get into this college by giving JEE MAINS, mechanical closed at 44,661 rank general. to apply into this college, and for this course you have to register and select the course during your JOSAA counselling The admission process was really smooth and it was very soft as compared that two of LNMIIT it only took about two hours. my hostel was allotted in that time frame as well. reservation benefits are there such as EWS, but there is no reservation for female candidates.
