Forensic Science at YENEPOYA

The curriculum mostly focus on the different branches the course and each branches are studied deeply. Initially the lab facilities were very poor but there has been change in the lab facilities. The teaching includes PowerPoint presentation as well as lectures. Sometimes the exams are conducted without teaching some of the portions.

The college provides many internship opportunities for the students to develop their career. This course actually promotes more internship from the 1st semester to the 6th semester. The students intern in many private companies like google Microsoft etc. This course students can do internship in private as well as in public sectors. It can include police stations, government medical college, courts, hospitals, laboratories etc. Also the students should complete their research paper and 30 days internship in the last semester which is compulsory.

Usually placements are offered in our college but for our course, we've less opportunity for the placement right after bsc. It is better to persue masters after this. The college also offers different masters discipline in the college. Right after bsc the students only get 10-15k monthly.So preferring masters is a good idea or else do internship in private companies where they'll offer job after the internship.

Tuition fees stays constant throughout each semester and is about 65k.Apart from this fees ,extra money would be required for the other things. Scholarship is provided for the karnataka students especially and fee reduction is seen students with 90% and above in 12th.The college provides different programmes and classes for students.

The infrastructure of college is under maintainence. Each classeooms atleast consist of 3 AC's. Also for each festivals , the celebration is conducted by students. The college has an okay okay library with the reference books for all courses and novels and story books are also present. Also different social groups like nss, rotary Club, eco club and many more which works for the betterment of surrounding is also present.

The college has different hostels around 10 hostels. The hostel where I reside is a 3 star hotel with good infrastructure. But we lack the area for studying. The hostel provide food rating 7.8out of 10.Less complainys are arised for the food quality. The food menu is different on each days. It also serves veg food on non veg food day.

Only the students who've opted science in their 12th can apply to this course. Each semester consist of 2 internal assessment and the mark includes from the curricular and co curricular areas.The admission process is smooth.
