My experience at Tolani Maritime Institute

I always wanted to be in merchant navy and since tolani is the best at this I wanted to get into this college. Well being a mariner makes you tough in real life and brings discipline in your character. Well they can decrease the number of subjects to make it easier for students to pass the exams. Well there are 2 class tests followed by a semester exam which are moderate in level if studied properly.

The different companies coming here are:NYK, MSC shipping, EPS, Goodwood, Wallem and many other companies they offer from 25000-50000 for cadet ship in their company. The cadet ship is usually for 6 months and could be longer for marine engineers.

The students are eligible for placements from the first year itself. The company that has visited till now are NYK, Wallem, Msc shipping, maresk. The range of offers vary from 25000-75000 for cadet ship. There is 100% placement here at tolani maritime institute. I'll be going into sailing after my degree for my cadet ship.

Well since this is an upcoming field they have been increasing the fees rapidly to filter out students. It will cost about 2380000 for the completion of the whole course. There are scholarships for the students that get a good rank in the semester exams ranging from 10000-40000 which will be deducted from the fees.

The major fests here is horizon which is held in the month of November here. There are a wide variety of books available in the library ranging from fictional books to textbooks to study for the semester semester. Our classrooms are fully air conditioned. Here at TMI you can play all types of sports because of the availability of all the amenities. There are various clubs here depending on the interests of different students.

We are provided with all the amenities to live peacefully and the hostels are cleaned very frequently to maintain hygiene. The quality of meals is very good with different types of meals made everyday. The registration process of hostels is very easy because it is all included in the semester fees.

To get into Tolani Maritime Institute we most have a minimum of 60% aggregate in our PCM in boards along with that we need a good rank in IMUCET a rank below 5000 is good enough to get into TMI. All the information and application forms can be found in www.tmi.tolani.edu. If you belong to SC, ST, OBC you can easily avail reservation benefits. There are 2 class tests followed by the semester exams which are moderate and we can score good marks if done correctly. Well they do take a while in announcing the results and the process is very lengthy.
