Golden days of life with academic and extra curricular.

Course structure was good enough for getting knowledge of different minerals, their properties, extraction and processing. Practical knowledge is very much important for gaining overall knowledge so for that we had well equipped equipment of pilot scale used for mineral processing and we had industrial tour program and visited many industries during our course. For research activities college had tied up with csir lab IMMT Bhubaneswar and ISM Dhanbad.

Internship was students responsibility. College would help for internship. Average stipend duning internship was about 3000 per month.

Placement was satisfactory with max of core and industrial companies. Few software companies also took part during placement. Companies like Adani Mining, Essel mining, Adhunik, Acc cement,IMFA, Jaiswal Necco, Monnet Ispat etc visited during campus. Average package was around 3.5lpa

Technical fest was organised once in a year with name Utkarsh. Cultural fest and inter college fest where also organised.

As it was a state run government college so fee was very much affordable. It was around 25k per semester excluding hostel and food. College has a very good hostel facility and a very nominal charges for hostel. Hostel fee was around 10000 per year.

Different categories of scholarship where provided for different groups like ST, SC, minorities etc. I got a scholarship of 10000. College took initiative for providing educational loan to financially week students.

I was a resident of hostel. Hostel room where of good quality. Rooms where of sharing type. PGs are easily available in town. Food quality was ok type. Hostel fee was around ?10000

College has a good alumni network and also a alumni association named gce keonjhar alumni.

Teachers' were well qualified and were from good universities. Most of the permanent teacher have qualification of Phd. Maximum teachers have M tech degree. There where also few contractual faculty and some guest faculties. Teachers are being provided by staff quarters inside college campus. So teachers are easily available all the time and they are always ready to help if students have any doubts. Some subjects lack good teachers.
