Beyond the Brochure: A Realistic look at KG REDDY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

As far as I've gone through the admission process, there's nothing to be worried about anything. Coming to the eligibility of this course, the student has two choices i.e 1. Clear the Common Entrance Test ( CET ) or 2. Management Quota. The students need to clear the CET to be eligible and get selected according to their rank ( purely on merit basis ). And if the student is financially weak, he/she couldn't afford the academic fees, there is a major reservation benifit by which the student gets scholarship for the entire course. The student can get the cut-off rank details through online or by contacting the college for a clear view.

The course in which I'm currently pursuing my graduation is Computer Science Data Science. Because the KG REDDY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY is an AUTONOMOUS INSTITUTION and affiliated to JNTUH, the curriculum is well planned after considering the real-world applications and the modern teaching methodology. The frequency of examinations is twice in a year, that means each year consists of two Semesters followed by two semester examinations. Coming to the difficulty level, again, the current curriculum exams are designed in a very unique and easy way in which a student or an individual gains real-world application knowledge.

Our college offers good internship opportunities for students which helps then gain more practical knowledge / experience, enhance their skill set and Kickstart their career. It provides the students with experienced mentors from Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, IBM, and other 26+ MNCs with certification, job assistance and Letter of Recommendation.

As far as I've come to know, the placement cell in the campus is responsible for all the placements happening in the campus. Students are recruited in various companies like Forge Alumnus with an average placement of 3.5 LPA. The highest package offer in the campus is 12 LPA.

The current fee structure is well maintained and there is no such rate hike in the fees. The complete cost of BTech including tuition, service fees, and other compulsory charges is roughly around 450000/- for four years and scholarship is provided by the government.

The campus life is very charming and there are two events which are conducted every year, i.e INVICTA and IKARUS. These are technical, sports and cultural events in which the students can register and embrace their talents. The Library consists of a wide range of books and journals to read and there's also a digital library in which a student can access a book digitally by their mobile phone. The campus also provides sports and extra curricular activities including student-run social groups, clubs and student portals by which a student can connect to the outside world.
