The beauty of Jharkhand- BIT Mesra

The curriculum and course syllabus is fairly modern and has been designed keeping in mind various upcoming trends and future requirements. Well, i was compelled to choose this course because the course includes supply chain management which i was very much interested to learn. Next, Our college inculdes various labs such as workshop, physics lab, EEE lab, Ece lab etc which brushes up our real world application of all the theoretical knowledge. Exams are conducted in the following pattern : Quiz 1 for 10 marks Mid Semester for 25 marks Quiz 2 for 10 marks End sem for 50 marks Assignment for 5 marks Exams are a bit on the difficult side comparable to the NIT's.

Our college provides the facility of doing internship under a professor with fairly good stipend . Also some students have got internship in NHAI , HAL and various other companies . Aslo students can do summer internships from 2nd year itself.

Students become eligible for internship from the 2nd year itself. And 3rd year students are eligible for placements. Last year 725 offers were made and as of 2022 total of 910 offers were made. With highest of 58LPA was offered . Average package sits at around 12.5 LPA. Various reputable companies visit our campus including Microsoft , Google , Amazon, Cred , Flipkart and many other companies. Some students also follow up for higher studies.

Taking into consideration various colleges and their fees , BIT Mesra is a fairly expensive. Fees of our college is on the higher side summing upto 18.5 lakhs for 4 year course. For academic fees it is 3,80,000 for 1st year 3,25,000 for 2nd year 3,58,000 for 3rd year 3,91,000 for 4th year. Hostel charges sums upto 2,00,000 . However, scholarships are available for students which can reduce the burden and help them in their career. G.P. Birla Scholarship scheme provides full fees refund for students who score above 9cgpa . Also students who are ranked below 5000 in JEE mains have their whole fees remitted.

Campus life is decent . We have lush green campus spanning 780 acres. Our Annual Fest named Bitotsav is one of the best fest in East India and Pantheon is our technical fest. Bitotsav usually takes place in month of march . As of Bitotsav 2k24 Pineapple express was invited for Band night , Monali Thakur was invited for ProNite , and MJ5 Dance group was also invited. Various events took place during the day which are conducted by various clubs of our college. Some of the prestigious clubs of BIT Mesra are Team Srijan a technical club which participates in Formula Bharat, FireBolt participating in Baja , Team Aveon participating in E-Baja. Some cultural clubs are Spic - macay , Ehsaas - our drama club , Dhwani - our music club and many others.

During the First year, students are provided with a Double sharing room. The rooms are big and have been designed to accommodate 2 people. We are provided with a Wi-Fi access point in each room as well as a LAN facility. The mess menu is decided by the students and the mess food served is of excellent quality. The hostel is very affordable, rent is just 20,000 for 1 semester. Registration is done at the time of admission itself and no additional steps are required.

In order to take admission in Birla institute of technology, students have to give JEE Mains exam conducted by NTA . Two sessions of the exam are conducted in a year i.e. January session and April Session. I scored 89.3 percentile in Jee mains and Using home state quota i was able to secure a seat in this college. The counselling process is fairly simple. Two boards conduct counselling for all NIT's and GFTI's which are JOSAA and CSAB . Josaa conducts 6 rounds of counselling while Csab conducts 2 rounds also known as spot rounds. I got the seat in the 2nd round of csab . Then i had to report to college for further processing. The following documents were required:- Seat allotment letter Aadhar card 12th marks sheet 10th marksheet JEE score card After successfull verification of the documents , Payment of fees was done and i got admission into the college.
