What Students Say
Likes
- Placements, freedom, my social life, the connections gained, student clubs although im not one, fests
Dislikes
- Administration in case of exams, the fact that we have 3 internals is really hectic
- My department teaching is not really that great and they bombard you with a lof things to study in a 3 months semester. If you lucky you get a good teacher
Course Curriculum Overview
With the introduction of nep I'd say it's become bad. I'll explain how. This policy has far less portions compared to what it has before. Which means less compelling study. You will get a more time. Now this is why it's bad most people don't use this time to develop skills or study for masters. More you slack off the worse it gets. The upsides to this course is that time which you can improve on anything you want. The frequency of exams is thrice in a semester 3 internals along with assignments and quizes
Fees and Financial Aid
If you enter by cet there a huge drop fees. For me it was 91k. For my friends from comedk it cost around 2.5 lakhs and I'm not sure about management quota but that is even more than comedk. But does increase each year it jumped to 1.2 lakes for me. There are extra charges for the usage for lab which is not included in the 91k at the time of admission. Campus employment from the record I have been told is 100 percent placements. The package depends on how you spent your time in the four years you were here
Campus Life
We have about two major fests. Most of then are cultural based so if you are into them you will have a blast. Otherwise you can spectate them and have a great time. In the case of technical fests there some hackathons each department may conduct. It's also the best place for people who aren't good at cultural stuff to shine. If we go to sports we have an active football team. The most popular sport of this college is cricket and really wish more people played football here. In the case of extracurricular activities has been inculcated to the curiculam itself. Social life has both introverts and extroverts. Guys I'll yell you be an extrovert and talk to people. You will have a great life if you do so. There is an organization called cpa or centre of performing arts which has a lot of student clubs for mainly cultural activities and people who are into them will have a lot of fun. There is also an entrepreneurship club which conducts an e summit which is one of their major event.
Admission
Eligibility for this solely depends on the rank you get, if you get above the cutoff you get inside otherwise you don't. For different reservations there are different cutoffs. Since I got in by cet the college selections rounds were done online. Before it all is the verification process of all your details. We had to go to centre to get documents verified. Then there will be three rounds where your college is alloted to you. Now coming to administration of the college, I won't say it's the best cause when I was in 3rd my friend in reva was halfway through 4th sem.We have three internals namely, exams which are counted for your final cgpa. This contributes to 50 percent marks of each semester rest is from semester end exam which is semester final exam. Here we have 3 internals. They could do a better job at administration. Other than that it's a good college with good placements. There are many clubs with the majority of them being cultural and since then technical which provides a balance
