My experience in my dream college

I'm jst interested in this course Mechanical engineering because I'm interested in automobiles and always want to create something innovative. So I felt this course could satify my desire. The curriculum is good for now and I'm not much into the course as I'm still in 1st year and there is much that I have to learn to fulfill my dreams. The faculty is highly qualified for dignified institutes. They're also good. There will be 4 phases of exams for us in a sem...namely QUIZ-1, MID-SEM, QUIZ-2, END-SEM. The difficulty level will be high compared to other institutes(known from friends of other institutes).

As I'm in the first year, I don't have much knowledge about internships. But there are many opportunities fir the students in upcoming years to get an internship. They will only teach at the starting and later on the students will develope skills by doing projects and all.

Placements of the college are quite good and our college is little bit known for that. Like there is good placement percentage. Mostly 80-90% of students will get placed. Many well known companies will arrive for recruiting. If we are not placed in the campus, off campus also we have a good chance that we will have the stamp of NIRF rank 12th institute on our degree. Which is prestigious.

There will be tuition fee based on your reservation category. Mostly the hostel fee will be definitely paid. For OBC students for whole 4 years of Btech...nearly 3,50,000 will be the expenditure. There will be scholarships which are based on particular proofs. They will be sufficient for student fees and some other will be sufficient for student miscellaneous expenditure. Stipends will be given for Mtech students mostly...like for research scholars.

There will be two main fests that will be conducted in the campus in two different semesters. One is ENGINEER, technical fest of NITK and the other is INCIDENT,the cultural fest of NITK. It is the one of the biggest fest in India. There will be vast kind of books available for the students according to their taste and difficulty level they need. And the sports facility is also quite good that you can play whatever sport you want and whatever you are interested. There are many clubs here if you wanna join through which you can learn and develope many skills. There will be one platform called IRIS which is run by students and it is the own startup of the alumnis of the campus in which you can find each and every detail of a student once logged in.

There will be cot, table, cupboard, chair provided in the room. Remaining all the needed things are to be brought by the students only. The new blocks and newly constructing blocks are quite good. Old blocks are little bit damaged. Like not exactly damaged they are kinda look old. The registration process for hostel and mess is allotted in the IRIS itself. The food is not that good. Like there will be people from across the country. So obviously everyone will be not okay with the food. We have to adjust.

Admisson process is through JoSAA counseling...based on JEE Mains rank. The application forms,fees,dates everything will be provided in NTA website. You can avail seat through reservation also...by submitting necessary documents. The entrance exam will be quite difficult as it is an entrance to the prestigious institutions in the country which is applied and written by lakhs of people. For cutoffs you can refer the previous year one's. They will be available in the website. Everything is good for admission. But it would be great if they maintain accuracy on dates.
