- The departments are well equipped with all the necessary facilities and the college library is very good.SVNIT is renonwed for its strong academic programs and the college offers variety of courses and research facilities for btech and mtech students
- SVNIT has a good track of record of placements with many reputed companies visiting every year
- the location of the college is also the plus point as its located in a city and students can go and enjoy outsideyoo
Dislikes
- some of the buildings the OLD CRC is out of order and cannot be used due to structural fault in the construction
- the mess menu is not so great and doesn;t provide non veg food they only provide egg once a week
- the lack of diversity is also a drawback as 50% of students are from home state
Course Curriculum Overview
The course im pursing is ECE, which is relatively tougher as compared to other courses.Overall the exams and curriculum are considered tuff and not so easy..but this course provides us with real world applications .
Internships Opportunities
The companies visiting for internship every year are: firstly JPMC which comes in the 4th sem around january or march and it providies softoware developed roles with a stipend of arounf 1lakh. more companies like GE healhcare,NVIDIA(only for girls) and goldman sachs also come during internship and placement period
Placement Experience
Placements of this college is decent and not soo great..the students are officially eligible for placements in the 3rd year but before the 3rd year the students can opt for internships and can get a ppo if they perform good. The overall percentage of people getting placed is 2022 is 78.6% and its declined to a value of approx 50% in the year 2024(speaking of the ECE brach only). Some of the companies visiting are JPMC,NVIDIA,GE healthcare,IBM,etc
Fees and Financial Aid
The insitute fees per semester is 62500 and 3000rs for library fees..Those who can provide an income certifcate with gross income less thean 8lpa ..they get a fee waiver of 2/3rd so they only have to pay 23300..and those whose gross income is less than 1lpa they get full fee waiver..students who belong to sc and st caste also get full waiver.
Campus Life
The campus life is mid and not so great..it provides the basic necceseties but the administration should provide more facilities as it a NIT. The library is the best infrastructure in this campus..its equipped with whole lots of books and ac and fan and is quite spacious.The sports facillity is not that great ..the SAC is very old. The clubs are great too
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are good enough..in the first and second year we're accomodated with a roomate meaning 2 people share a room in the 1st and 2nd year..but during 3rd and 4th year we've a choice to live single or double. the mess menu is purely veg and it not so good. the hostel and mess are not that costly as compared to other colleges..the hostel fees per sem is 37500 and the mess fee per sem is 19500.
Admission
eligibility of the course: getting a decent percentile in jee main(98 and above for other state students and 97+ for home state students) application form ,application fees, and applications dates and all avaliable on the college websites after the counselling proceess and the date of physical reporting after jossa counselling are all available on the college website. Regarding the reservation benefits..as its a government college the reservation benefits are availabe for those who can show their valid income certificate during the online reporting and the physical reporting.Reservation for PWD students are also provided.The physical reporting of PWD students is done before the actual physical reporting of the regural candidates. The only area for improvement during admission process is that they should allow people to physically report in the nearest NIT/IIT of their home .
