Course Curriculum Overview

The course is for 4 years. Clinical experience will be included in each year including the first year. The curriculum is based on Indian Nursing Council. First year includes fundamentals of nursing and second and third year includes the heart of nursing which is medical surgical nursing.

Class Size: 96Course Fees: INR 5500 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college is providing internship facilities. The college is within the hospital so we can do internship in the college owned hospital itself. Now they are providing 13500 as stipend. The work is same as that of nursing officer

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it is a central university the fees structure is less compared to state universities. The tuition fee is 5500/- and hostel fee is 12000/- excluding food . Exam fees includes 500/- for each subject. There is national level scholarship for minority students

Campus Life

This college also provides opportunities for extracurricular activities the most popular event is spandan which is held in the months of August- September. They are providing free library services. Also, college classrooms are smart classrooms. There is a student association called Jipmer student association in order to solve students' problems.

Hostel Facilities

College itself provides hostel facilities. There single ,double and triple rooms available. Mess facility is there for each hostel and common mess is also there. Hostel facilities is availed by the college after completing admission process.

Admission

The admission process is through neet exam. Those who cleared the entrance exam can apply for this. There is a reservation for obc, SC/st also for pondicherry residents. The application form will be available on the Jipmer official website. The admission takes place through an offline counseling process.

Most allied health course in the country does not have dissection in their curriculum, in jipmer ahs students also have to study practical aspect as well. From second year onwards we are posted in our respective departments and classes are given by the professors and residents in the cardiology department

Jipmer: A dream college

Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
