Likes

Placements are good especially for the Computer Science and engineering branch.
Lush green campus- the campus is very large and surrounded by tress everywhere.
Whether of the college is also a factor to be considered, it is mostly Sunny and very cold in winters

Dislikes

No hostels with air conditioned rooms is also a demerit
Vehicle is strictly prohibited inside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is well updated with the new growing world and keeps revising. Syllabus prepares us well for the practical world as we have all those practical labs which give you experience of the real world problems as you deal with it . It can improve in the teaching style which can be advanced with more new tech support. Frequency and timming of classes are sufficient to keep you engaged with your academic life at a decent level.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunity is good for the circuital branches as compared to non circuital branches. Stipend is mostly about 50k per month. Need to have a good command in DSA and need some projects too in order to be selected among the students competing with you.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee increases approx by 1 lakh Every year. The complete cost of education is about 16.5 lakhs including mess and tuition and all other kind of fees. Scholarships are if two types merit based and need based . For merit based you need have a very good GPA.

Campus Life

The annual event is Bitotsav and tech event is Pantheon. Pantheon happens nearly in November and BITOTSAV approx February. There is no fixed date. Class room have projector and computer for the professor to teach as well as traditional boards with chalks.

Hostel Facilities

Room has a fan and a tubelight. Also a lan port and shelves for keeping your stuff. Meal quality is decent and the menu is decided by the students. Registration process for the hostels is online and very affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

For getting Cse in Bit Mesra one should must have rank below 16k (to be insafe side). Admission process is thorough JOSSA and CSAB counseling. The fee for the counseling is same as for the other colleges listed in the website. Exams are frequent enough to keep you engaged in studies. The admission process is well and good.

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

Overall Experience and all reality of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More
