Likes

Campus life is good. You get to learn a lot of things and enjoy at the same time
Medical facilities for students is remarkable. You get free treatment if you're sick
Facilities provided is great compared to other govt institutions

Dislikes

Jipmer academic Center is not punctual which wasted a lot of our time for many things
Less stipend for internship. It is 5000 per month now
Not much attention is given compared to mbbs students

Course Curriculum Overview

JIPMER is one of the top medical institutions in India. It provides a great exposure to latest technological advancements. If you want a good exposure to different laboratory methods, this is the best place. After this, you can also pursue higher studies in different fields of biology.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Right after completing the course you can opt for internship in the campus. The duration of the internship is 12 months. You'll get posted in various departments in JIPMER each month. Opting for internship is optional.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure around 6000/yr. Scholarships are available through govt portals for reserved candidates. Hostel fee is around 12000 per year. You can take up internship after studying this course at jipmer. Currently the stipend for internship is around 5000 per month.

Campus Life

Campus life is great. There are many clubs and organizations you can join. The annual event, spandan is the biggest medical fest in South india. There are also football turf, basketball court etc and coaching for different sport activities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is pretty good. You get all kinds of meals there. The hostel is well maintained and hygienic. They provide all kinds of facilities required. There are single rooms and double rooms. You'll have the hostel in the campus and is very safe even at nights.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

Admission was through JIPMER entrance. But now it has changed and is through NEET score. After NEET results admission portals will be open. After applying a ranklist will be put up on their site. Then you'll have to select the course you want to study. This part will be through counselling conducted at JIPMER.

Pondicherry University - The green campus

Placement Experience:

There is no placement history for our course. The main department offering placement in the campus is mba . They have the highest placement history . Also MCA people have placements . Companies like tcs , hdfc bank etc visit. Approximately 50% students get placement. Since there is no placement in our department , I'm planning to take masters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am not impressed any curriculum of that college. That is girls college,feel free so only I choose that college. Otherwise curriculum is good. They give more teaching methods that is very helpful for dull students.

Glimpse of Pondicherry university

Course Curriculum Overview:

I loved my domain to do this course and i have much interest in learning more computer science subjects. I would suggest some smart classes for this curriculum to emphasis more knowledge. The exams are easier but sometimes they are comparatively difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum are very bad for some times ther eis no leave between exams and there is no holidays and you should take some of the softcore subjects outside the department so you should change Time table accordingly

"Pondi is the best"

Placement Experience:

Among the ten semesters of the complete course after 4th year (7-8 semester) we are eligible for campus placements. The average package for students from company is almost 5 lakh per annum. 10 percentage among the students are only getting placements. After completing degree and post graduation I want to increase my teaching skills and want to move forward based on that.

I also applied for ayurveda in kottakal arya vaidya sala and got a seat but I preferred studying in jipmer for a paramedical course rather than doing ayurveda. Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. This is a great college where you will have a assured future

In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there . I came to jipmer through NEET itself... My father saw a application form on jipmer website, it was fully free , on 0 fee I applied for jipmer and my course.
