Remarks

The office stuff is rude. The hang out places are almost negligible. Some teachers are really useless. College is far from main campuses but otherwise it's fine.

Entrance Preview

This college was like 15 mins from my home so it was kind of no brainer to opt for this college. I didn't get north campus otherwise they are definitely a better option. For science department, DDUC is actually a good option if you leave nearby and want a politics free environment.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I did Bsc MTS which was kind of a general course so we had to study 3 subjects overall. Maths, CS and OR. The pressure wasn't much but maybe the teachers can be more helpful. We weren't allowed to choose our electives because the infrastructure. Sucks big time in that case.

Internships Opportunities

They do organize a internship concave twice a year and few companies and NGOs come. I have applied for a few and got selected but I wasn't contacted by them again so it was waste of time. I don't know anyone who got internship from college.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are fine if you really wanna get placed. By fine I mean around 30-40% students get placed if they try. Attending all the workshops, working on their skills and especially their communication skills. Companies for Bcom and BMS students and students from those courses have a upper hand. Around 70% get placed.

College Events

4.5

Since it is DU college, it has no dearth of societies and events. I was a part of Debating society (it was a pretty good one) and Optizone (Mts society). And other really good societies are Kalamkaar (writing society), drama society, dance society, music society, finance,NSS etc. There are many many societies. And a lot of them are pretty active and good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is cheap, some 10k per year. I don't think there is any other college in Delhi cheaper than this (expect DU ones obviously). Other than that there are scholarship options for students from minority category and sc/st/ obc categories.

Fees and Financial Aid

They do offer some scholarships, mostly for SC/st/obc students and some for other minority categories.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life won't be really great since their is not hang out place near by. You would have to travel for at least 15 mins to get somewhere decent but that too is limited. Students from North or south campus have better opportunity in that matter. Gender ratio is fine, 50-50 I would say. Everything else like labs, extracurricular activities, sports and other clubs are really good, maybe not as good as north campus but definitely at par with most south campus colleges.

Hostel Facilities

4

I can't say about hostel since I never stayed there but since they are new, you can expect them to be really clean and functioning. It's just 2 minute walk from college and inside the campus only. I can't say about mess food but the canteen is cheap and their is amul dairy too.

Alumni/Alumna

The college alumnus do visit college once in a while and they get in touch with juniors. They can tell you about stuff you can do later on but it's best not to rely on them much.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is pretty much like all the colleges of DU. Same syllabus, same courses, same timing etc. Dates for internals vary a lot depending on teacher and sometimes teachers give marks depending on your reputation in college. So better have a good profile.

Admission

Around 8-10 cutoffs are released to get admission. If your marks are higher than the cutoff after the marking procedure, just go to the college, get your marks checked and pay the fees. It hardly takes a day if you have all the required documents on the first days.

Faculty

3.5

Some teachers were good others were not. At the end of the day you would have to study yourself, if you have doubts then they can help you out but don't expect anybody to spoon-feed you. If you are not attending classes, your marks will be deducted not just from your attendance marks but also from internal and practical marks. And there would times when teachers won't write recommendations for you if you are not in their good books.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
