One AMAZING college

In short, it's an amazing college. You'll have one hell of a college life here. If you're a outgoing person, this is the pace for you.

Great culture and diverse environment. People from all over the country come here. Has a great college life which includes cultural and tech fests. Great infrastructure provided for the money you give. We'll organized sector mostly. Has a semester abroad program too.

The course of SRM is pretty much like the one which is adopted abroad. They have a credit based marking. You can choose the subjects you want to study. First is common for all though. You can choose the batch and the teachers as convenient. They provide electives as well.

It doesn't explicitly provide an internship. But, it notifies us of the internship programs going on nearby.

Placements are tremendous. There are more than 500 companies coming every year. The recruitment goes on all year long. Companies like Microsoft and Amazon take a haldful of students. Rest assured that you'll get a job if you sit for placements. They even give Tamilian placement training.

There are 2 main events i.e. AARUUSH and MILAN. Aaruush being the Technical fest and Milan being the cultural fest. They have pro shows which have great personalities come and perform. It ranges from dance to fashion to creative arts. It's a great opportunity to showcase your talent.

The fee structure is okayish compared to all the colleges. Some may say it's even expensive. For a student who comes in on the merit basis, has to pay 2Lakhs per year. That's just the tution fees. Hostel they charge separately. But for the college life environment it's worth it.

Scholarship for the students who top the department is available. Scholarship based on the sports quota is also given.

When it comes to campus life, it's exceptionally great. You'll never be disappointed by it. Artists like Nucleya have performed here. The best part is that students arrange everything. Right from sponsors to food to decoration to media to artists. Great place to learn.

Hostels aren't that great when you first see them. But, they are better than the ones in most of the colleges. It's the best place you'll remember after your college life. The food, I kid you not, isn't great at all. Bearable at times. So, if you're a heavy water, you'll face problems.

Seniors are very helpful. They even take our time to come to the campus again and guide you for what has to be done.

We have a total of 3 cycle tests which consists of one, two and two units respectively. They are pretty easily scorable if you study well even a day before the exam. Then there is one semester exam which is the easiest of all the exams. Practical exams are efficient too.

Filling out the form is the first step to get an admission. I filled the SRMJEE form which comes out in Jan or Feb. The exam takes place in Arpil. It's an easy exam if you're an average student. Then the ranks are declared online and you are called for the counselling.

The faculty in SRM are mostly tamilians. So, if you're a tamilian, it's easier. Just kidding. Most teachers converse in English to their students. The teaching skills are exceptional in most of the teachers. They are pretty cooperative as well. So, it's a great place.
