Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very intensive and detailed. I always wanted to pursue the electronics branch as I am fascinated by these concepts. Further, with the coming of age Artificial Intelligence and smart devices, learning Internet of Things (IoT) became crucial for me. This is the reason why I chose this course over other courses that I was being offered. The curriculum contains many practical sessions, making the students ready to create and construct real-world devices with the theoretical knowledge imparted to them in classrooms. In a week, there are around three theory classes and two practical sessions. The teachers are very knowledgeable and talented in their field of work. Exams are held twice per semester- one is mid semester and other is end semester exam. In between, there are assignments and class tests to test the student's knowledge onthe subject.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internships are available for the third year students. I was offered an internship the details of which are as follows: Company Name: Brainly Role Offered: Full Stack Web Developer Stipend: 20K per month Besides this, we are tasked to create two projects over our entire 4 year course. The first project that I created was an IoT Enabled Photometer, that allowed to measure the intensity of sunlight and calculate the intensity and distance of astronomical objects. Another project that I worked upon was a model of a Smart Parking System, where I used Internet of Things, Machine Learning andconcepts of Electronics to create the overall project.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students are eligible for campus placements from their fourth year (starting of 7th semester). They prepare three rigorously to bag a great placement offer for themselves. Companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft visit our college to offer placements for various tech and non-tech roles. Even there are companies like Maruti Suzuki, Siemens, Sprinklr that come here to offer roles in core subjects. The averag package for a tech or non-tech profile is around 12 lakhs per annum, while the average package for a core profile is around 5 lakhs per annum. The highest package that was bagged this year was of 50 lakhs per annum, offered by Google. Around 90-95% students are placed yearly though the placement portal. After getting the degree, my plan is to prepare for CAT, to get admission in one of the top IIMs for MBA studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is constant and is around 1 lakh 20 thousand per year, amounting to 4 lakhs and 80 thousands for the four year course. Financial aids that are available here is the CVSPK scheme (Chhatra Vittiya Sahayta Evam Protsahan Kosh), that reduces the total tuition fee on the basis of your merit (score in JEE Mains) and your annual income level. Placement opportunities here are ample, and companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, etc visit our college yearly to offer high end jobs and internships. I applied for many internships, and have achieved an on campus internship in Web Development role at Brainly. Further, I have worked as the assistant manager in the Fine Arts Society of our college- Canva.

Campus Life

4.5

There are two annual festivals that happen in our college. One is the intra-college fest called Resonance, and the other is the inter-college fest called Moksha. Various singers and celebrities have performed over the years, that include KK, Vishal Dadlani, Sunidhi Chauhan, King and many others. Our college boasts a huge library that spreads across two floors. It includes books from course level to novels and study guides. Classrooms are equipped with latest technologies such as Smart Boards, etc. Besides this, there is a huge cricket ground, two basketball courts, one badminton court and one volleybal court. There are many social groups, or what we call as societies in our college for extracurriculur activities and overall development of student.

Admission

The admission in NSUT is done on the basis of your score in JEE Mains Exam. It is an annual exam that is held for entry into top IITs and these colleges for B-Tech. The rank and the score obtained in this exam determines your college and the branch that you are eligible for. The admission is thereafter confirmed through the Joint Admission Comittee (JAC) portal. Reservations are there according to the Government of India's reserved classes. The admission process is very smooth and there is no need of improvement as such. It can only be made more transparent for students to better undertsand their chances and potentials.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
