Computer Science Engineering Life In CIT

Computer Science Engineering course was a upcoming course and it had a very bright future and that's why I chose this course. The curriculum is a bit laggy and old, I think the curriculum should get update slightly so that it would be useful in real world applications. As for as the teaching methods they are good, but the subject contents are little old, they should get updated. The semester exams are moderate and you get enough time to prepare for your exams like you get 10 days of study leave and 1 day gap between each exams.

I did internship in a company called Tekion for 2 months and did complete a Train booking system project Currently pursuing internship in Bounteous x Accolite as a Data Engineer and the internships are very good.

The placements offered are good in the college. From 6th semester you are eligible to attend for placements. More than 100 companies visited and nearly 90 offered Highest package is 52 LPA with CTC 17 LPA and average is 10 LPA Around 75% of the students gets placed My plan is to work for 2 years and then pursue my highers.

For the fees it was around 64000 per year since I got it thorugh merit and I was in the self-support category. If you are in Aided category then the fess is around 25000 per year. Then for hostel it was around 30000 per year and for food it was around 2500 per month. Then exam fees was 3000 per semester and Caution deposit is 5000 which would be returned after 8th semester There are many financial aid is available such as First graduate in your family then you would get extra compensation. I was a member in the National Service Scheme for 3 years and volunteered to help for free.

In march CSE will conduct CRYPTERA event and other course students also conduct fest like this but the time is not fixed. All books and journals required are available in the library and you can use it at anytime. Techonlogy required for teaching is present. All major sports and extracurricular activities like rotary club etc many clubs are present and you can join in any of them There are many student-run clubs and you can join any of them. Personally I was in NSS(National Service Scheme) volunteering to help other schools etc. The college infrastructure is good. My campus life was good.

The hostel infrastructure is very bad, you should bring a table fan and you will have only one 2 pin port so you need to bring extension box. The food provided is quite good both veg and non-veg. Enquire office and get sign from them to get enrolled in hostel and the cost is around 30000 per year

For eligibility of the course, you should have completed 12th grade and you should have opted for the course that have Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects in it. For application form, fees etc either you visit the college website or apply for the college through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions or directly contact the college reception to enquire about it. For reservation benefits if you are from SC/ ST caste then you would have lot more oppurtunities than from GENERAL caste and there is some advantage if you are from BC/ OBC caste too. I applied through TNEA which required my 12th board marks, as for the 12th exams they were easy to crack. I got 190 cut-off marks to enter into this college for comupter science course through merit using TNEA. The admission process was quite good they just asked for some certificates and photos thats it. The only thing I didn't like in the admission process was it took a very long time to complete it. Admission process should be shorter.
