Life in UCEP

Overall our college is good for a middle class student to survive.

This is a government college, The fee structure is low. We learn about life only in government college because we are set free and independent. We need to decide our future without anyone's support.Unlike other private college we are not spoon feeded.The place Panruti, and I wanted to enjoy this south culture as well.

It's quite good. But being more practical would be better. Theories subject are more. There will be half days lecture and next half are practicals . We have only one project and that too in the final semester. But in other department like mechanical and civil they have mini as well as main project

No. My college does not provide any internship or Implant training. Students themselves have to try outside for internship

Here in our college the placement is not too good. Recently our college placement co ordinates are trying well to provide students placement training and providing IT companies There is no core companies here. Students prepare themselves for Off campus drives.

In our college we have Freashers day, Symposium, Farewell. Every department conducts Freashers and Farewell Only few department conducts symposium. We are not given any funds for such functions we students alone collects funds from all the years and plan and organise the function

The fees structure is comparatively very low from other college because it is a government college. First graduate students pays around 5906 where as other pays 11k . It's very much cheap and the exams fee are 150 rs per paper which will be around 900rs for 6 papers

Yeah our college do provide scholarship to all the students based on caste. There is no scholarship provided to general category students

Campus life is quite good here. Our college students prepare themselves for zonal sports and we don't have sny coaches.Lab are all updated. And we don't have any debates and all. But the students themselves talk among them about politics. College is not that developed

Hostel is always clean. We enjoy our hostel life to the fullest. We have students mess which are taken care by student co ordinates . Sometimes the food are not cooked properly but overall the food is good and up to the mark. In hostel in one room there are 4 students

No there is no such alumni meet and all. Here we dont have any ragging in our college. Seniors helps in giving there old books.

Our college is semester basis. We have six subjects per semester and atleast 2 laboratory. There will be exams with 2 to 3 days of gap. We get 10 days of study holidays. Exam fees are around 150 rs per papers and in one semester we need to pay 1200 rs including 6 papers and 2 lab

I applied counselling in Anna university after completing 12th standard. Since I am staying in Tamil Nadu for Past 6 years during my 12th , i was eligible to apply for counselling . People from other states cannot apply for counselling unless they have stayed here in Tamil Nadu for 4 years. One must have done 10th n 12th from Tamil Nadu to apply for counselling.

My college faculty are well educated and almost many of them have got their doctarate as well. There are several training faculty who just do time pass but the permanent staff takes lecture. Permamnent staff teaches in a unique way. Several lab assistant they act smart ,they assume themselves that they are better than staff.
