I am currently studying in nit jalandhar pursuing btech in mechanical engineering. The mechanical department here has a lot of experienced faculty and their teaching methods are also up to the mark .We have a planned curriculum based on the course guidelines . We have our mid sems and end sem in a gap of 2 months so it is a scheduled curriculum.

There are a lot of internship opportunities provided at the campus . Students started getting their internship in the 2nd year itself . Students can apply to any company according to his/her skills and basically afterall it is an opportunity to learn and improve .

Campus placements in the reason why we got admission in the prestigious engineering colleges like NIT'S and here in our college it is quite good . Our branch has a average of 10 lpa which we all know varies from student to student and the individual knowledge. Highest placement is as high as 50 lakh per annum so it is just a number depends on students.

The fee structure of the bech course varies from branch to branch ,different branches have different fees structure. I currently studying in mechanical branch so our fee structure is 25000( as I belonged to the ST category so I got waiver in the tuition fees) . There are a number of scholarships from the college authorities to the students whose family income is below 1 lakh per year and to the students who scored good cgpa in the examinations . Our college also offered number of opportunities for the internships and the stipends.

My overall experience in this college is above average . The extra curricular activities here are so well organized. Our college fest is the largest in the north India (in tech) called techniti and we also have our cultural fest called utkansh . Students from different colleges across the country came here to compete in the competitions in the fest . It was an overwhelming experience at that time . There are a lot of clubs related to every field like we have ladc club for debating and all . Sports facilities are also up to the mark . Recently college organized sports fest and it was a successful fest .

I am currently living in the hostel premises of out college . The fees structure of the hostel is 25000 and it also includes mess fess and extra charges. The facilities in a room is like you a got a table and a chair,you have to share a room with one student .there are two bed in a room and a wardrobe is sufficient for both the guys.the locality outside the college is not so good so I don't choose to rent a room in pg and all .

The admission is a fair long process but it was all worth it . There is a examination called JEE by scoring good rank in that you will secure seats in the prestigious NIT'S and IIT'S . I myself got admission in NIT jalandhar mechanical branch .I got my admission in year 2022 .I got a reserved seat coz I belong to ST category and surely I can say there are lot of benefits especially like fees waiver etc in the reserved seat .
