College management is very good. They always support the students in everything being academic or extra curriculars.

Srm is a great option for those who are looking for not just academic development but also a complete development as a good human being. The cultural diversity on the campus provides a base for the social development of the students. The students who are looking to go abroad for their Post Graduation after their UG, they can see SRM as a great option as the college has a lot of MOU's signed with reputed institutions abroad. Also the placements is another highlight here.

The course curriculum is also good. Although it is bit outdated but it is same across all colleges in India. In the first year, you will be studying all the branches of engineering irrespective of the branch you belong to. The most difficult subjects the students face are Engineering Graphics and Biology. Yes, you have to study biology in the first year. And after this first year, you will have to select two electives from other branches including some management subjects. The best part of curriculum is the Personality Development classes which helps every student a lot.

The college gives a break of one month after the semesters when the students can go for internships. The college gives full support to students who go for internships. Apart from internships, there are a variety of clubs and projects going on the campus where the students can get practical experience.

There are lot of negative reviews out there on internet about placements in SRM. But believe me, lot of people have got placements of above 7 lacs. Majority of the people got placements of 3 lacs plus. Thats why the average goes down as there are lot of students studying in SRM and it is the plus point of SRM that it is providing placemwnts to average students as well. All the major companies come to the campus and it depends on the talent of the student to get the beat offer.

There are a lot of events celebrated in campus. All the festivals are celebrated on campus. Apart from that, there is a national level tech fest named Aarush and a national level cultural fest named Milan is organized every year. SRM MUN is another event that is very popular.

The fee structure is on the expensive side. The fee is above 2 lacs for one year. Apart from that, you have to pay around 1.2 lags for hostels. And there are many other miscellaneous charges hidden including exam fee, common fine after each semester etc.

There are lot of scholarships available for students. If the student has got more than 95% in 12th, then 50% of the fee is waived off. Also, if the student scores well in engineering, then also, 50% of fee is waived off.

The hostels are good here. I would say that that time will be the best time of your college life. There are options of ac and both non ac hostels. The mess serves both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The cuisines served are north Indian and South Indian. Snacks are also served in evening.

Alumini network is the weak point in SRM. But the seniors are best here. They treat the Juniors very well and guide them in best way possible.

Exam structure is bit tedious. You will be having exams coming every next week. There are two Cycle tests, Model exams and final exams. Apart from them, u have surprise tests, model practicals and final practical exam. So the students will be always busy in preparing for the next exams.

SRM has its own entrance exam known as SRMJEE in which you have to score marks and you will get rank according to the marks you scored. Then , you will be called for counseling where you will be offered branch according your rank. Then, the process is simple. You will be given a date to fill the fee amd your documents will be verified on the same day you fill the fee.

The faculty of the college can be rated as decent. Some are very knowledgeable and experienced. But this doesn't make much difference according to me as in engineering,all depends on how you study and perform. There are various labs and all the teachers are very serious about the lab subjects.
