Remarks
We had to clear imucet exam with less than thousand rank for general category to clear the cutoff , the exam difficulty was moderate level the exam consists of 200 questions with one marks each which need to be completed in 180 minutes
Course Curriculum Overview
The cordinators are very good in our college but I won't be able to make a comment on the relevance of course as the actual knowledge used in the ships varies vastly from the things taught in the course for various subjects
Internships Opportunities
We don't have any internships but instead we get direct placements from our college and the stipend provided varies from company to company and also on the type of vessel upon which the cadet is sailing
Placement Experience
There has been a slight drop in our placements from time to time due to recession in maritime community but still if you are good in studies and top30-40% of the batch you will find no problem in getting placed , some companies visiting us are osm thome , chevron , nyk , mol and many more the highest salary provided in lng carriers of nyk that is 1200 dollars per month
Fees and Financial Aid
We have 8,50,000 fees for our 3 years course which includ our mess fee , hostel fee , tution fee , uniform fee or any other fee which would be required by us which very less compared to any private institute since we are funded by the government
Campus Life
We don't have many cultural events happening in our college max to max 1 event in 2 sems but a lot of sports related events are happening as we require good physical health while onboard ships and sports help us in staying physically healthy
Hostel Facilities
Hostel fees is included in our semester fee and the hostels are maintained very properly and the food we get is also pretty decent as some faculty also eat in mess overall I would recommend staying in hostel as it is worth our money
