Likes

Connected more to Nature (lot of trees that help to make atmosphere cool at nights)
Playgrounds are maintain where cricket and football can be played
It has gym for the fitness and has badminton court, tennis court, basketball court

Dislikes

Weather is very warm and lot of humidity
Mess Food vary from hostel to hostel
Food delivery are not allowed in campus.

it has good infrastructue more portion is under development . so there are many constructions going on with the specific building and areas . lot of clubs are in the college that helps students to enchance there skill .

Admission

Admission process was easier . We have to be at college for physical verification. Dates were announced for Everything like fee payment and physical verification. JEE Mains was the entrance exam for taking admission in SVNIT (NIT,Suart). Everything was easy as college was helping each and every student with registeration and everything.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. And talking about my branch , there are various companies around my home town . Generally SVNIT accepts the admission on the basis of JEE MAINS score. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. Great college for exploring and learning.

I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
