Course Curriculum Overview
Dayananda sagar college is a autonomous college which means the teaching faculty has the power to make changes to the curriculum... which made me choose this college. Our college has enough labs for every subjects which gives students to properly test their knowledge on a specific field. The only thing to consider is the college takes 3 internal exams every sem. But it is quite easy as the teachers provide sufficient material and one can study can get good marks not average marks studing 1 day before also if they pay a little attention in class.
Internships Opportunities
Regarding internship the truth is college students does not have enough "Paid internship opportunities" but you can work as a intern at many companies where you learn about the industry and work culture and Dayananda Sagar college encourages and supports their students a lot egarding it.
Placement Experience
Placement considering a private college is fairly good as the average placement is 6-7 lpa. The highest package from our college is 54 lpa. And the biggest plus point is this college is in the main city itself and getting a job in Bangalore after 4 years is not so challenging. As for the no of companies that visit our college it is around 50 -60 companies, as I said getting placement is not so difficult if anyone putting just enough effort. But definitely to acquire a bigger package from college itself you have to work harder and build a better portfolio. You can get hired 7th sem itself if you have built a good résumé. I plan to go towards government service after my course completion, but I'll see where my road leads to.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for comedk students is quite high and only worth it if you are in one of the top branch. There was a fees hike of 10% but Karnataka gov asked to lower the college fees to previous years. As of for Kcet students the fees is very low to study engneering in one of the top colleges in bangalore. Dayananda sagar do provide scholarship at the time of admission known as DSAT. But for management students the yearly fees is verry high and on top of that you need to pay donation, yeah so just stay away from private colleges in general.
Campus Life
Yesss, social life is very good in our campus if you put your self out and join college clubs... Our college has many many clubs, they have 4 different clubs for dance 3 for singers content writing club known as Litsoc, Aroha is the club for actors writers and voice artist/actors. Just name an interst/ hobby and you will a club associated with it. Our college also have very technical clubs such as Arcis where students build drones and rc plane by themselves and compete in competion, we also have a coding club known as "Point Blank". We also have a very dope library where you can go and issue any 3 book at a time, and yes there are a lot of books. Our college also organizes various fest some fest are branch specific also and there are mainly 2 grand fest one of them is "Fureo" itz dope.
Admission
The admission process is fairly similar to other exams... admission can be done through comedk for other states and kcet for Karnataka students. Students can also take addmission through management. The cutoff for this college is fairly low even for CSE... If you are from Karnataka and give kcet exam you have a greater chance to get a very good seat. For kcet students the fees is also very low... as low as 40-50k per year. But for comedk students the fees is relatively high and only top branches are worth it...
