Inside a top college CIT, Coimbatore

The internship that are part of curriculum is needed to be found by students and teachers can help you out. The projects hold a important part in college and it is taken much care of. It's important for anyone choose a good project with their team and do that project under a guide.

The college has excellent campus placements.The eligibility to attend campus placements here is in the final year, before that we can try for internships. Famous companies visit this college and highest package more than 50 LPA. Most of the students who doesn't have backlogs or current arrears will get placed. Since it is one of the top colleges in coimbatore and is a aided college, lot of top companies visit this campus. The placement team in Coimbatore Institute of technology is also working very good to bring in more companies. Placement training is also provided to help students but that can be improved to get better equipped students. I am a mechanical engineering student and I've got placed in a core company.

The college campus isn't that big when compared to other colleges. It hosts a lot of events mostly of clubs. There will be events from Rotaract club of CIT, Kalam knowledge club - CIT to welcome the freshers also which is very welcoming. The library has lot of books and books needed for academics are all available. It also has access to several journals which is the best thing about this library. The classroom chairs have invidual writing desks. The classroom is equipped with lan internet connection and smart TV or projector setup is also equipped in classroom for better teaching learning experience. The college offers more than 13 sports in its campus and also has a gym. The college has two football grounds, one cricket ground, tennis, ball badminton, kabaddi, throw ball, volleyball, basketball, hockey, badminton grounds and athletic track. Every department hosts symposium inviting other colleges and making stalls. Also lot of clubs are active and conducts events.

The college hostel is seperate for each year students. The college hostel is not modern and except 4th year hostel for boys the hostels doesn't have celing fan and girls hostel have ceiling fan. The room is of enough space but doesn't provide cupboard facilities. The fourth year hostel for boys is good with ceiling fan and also grounds inside too. The food provided is of good quality, the price is also reasonable. Non veg is provided twice per week under token basis where if u order it previously u can get it. The mess fees is collected monthly and for me it costs around 2700 without opting for non veg. Hostel is able to accommodate students opting hostels, only laterals entries doesn't have hostel but new hostel is being constructed and probably will accommodate more persons. This college is located in a prime area with PG and room facilities all around if u want to stay outside.

The eligibility of the course was to come from a science background in 12th or diploma. I applied for this college through TamilNadu Anna University counselling. The reservation benefits that can be obtained in this process are through caste. The counselling was user friendly and you can use YouTube videos to teach yourself for this process. You have to choose courses u want and in the college you want in a order from most priority course for you to less priority course. Make sure you fill a lot to get in any of them.
