Course Curriculum Overview

My course is Electronics and Communication Engineering so it has Hardware as well as software part. So students can choose their job field in both. In the booming era of electronics in India I think there will be more job opportunities for Electronics and Communication Engineering students. But I think the course curriculum should be improved according to time. In college after 1.5 months exams held

In Asansol Engineering College the course fees of Electronics and Communication Engineering is 5.6 lakhs. In the campus there are many clubs and societies to enjoy. In clubs there are many events are held to enjoy.

Campus Life

In Asansol Engineering College there are many clubs like Hardware club , coding club, development society, cultural club, Institute of Engineers,Sports club etc.In vlubs there are many many events organised by the clubs.The main events are Innovative Hardware Model Making competition, Electronics Innovation, Annual fest ,annual sports meet etc.

Admission

I got addmission in Asansol Engineering College through WBJEE exam.This is a state level entrance exam for Engineering and Pharmacy. WBJEE mainly held in End of April month. Eligibility for this exam is 12th with Physics, Chemistry,Maths. The difficulty level is Hard to moderate of this exam. Then there held WBJEE councelling for choosing engineering college

Faculty

In Asansol Engineering College,most of the faculty members are PhD qualified. Some faculty members teaching style is really and some faculty members teaching is difficult to understand. The often interact with students for doubts and questions. They give their phone numbers to ask any doubts.

Interview Experience

There are no Group Discussion during the addmission. Students will directly get addmission through the councelling. The Rank of WBJEE exam matters most for addmission in the college. According to rank the college will be alloted.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
