Campus is really small and classrooms are not air conditioned

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is cse i personally like the course but obviously iur university designed curriculum is not good in cse we have to study subjects like physics english which are irrelevant to our course and it's outcome.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Placement Experience

Campus placement are available in our college not so decent but available and it depends on the situation of the market whether there's good employment going on or not. Maximum students getting placed are from cse department

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete course fee is 6 lakhs. It was 4 lakhs but suddenly increased to 6 lakhs so there is a huge hike in fees. Since i am a first year i have not availed any campus employment right now but opportunities are available from 3rd year

Campus Life

In our college there's no campus life. Just two buildings. Campus ends before it even starts. Facilities are not so good. Basic facility of A.C is not provided. Library on other place is full of books

Admission

The course is eligible for those clearing JEE with a normal rank. The application form is available on college website. And boards website. Admission process for college is not so good they must improve the managment

Faculty

The faculty memebers are highly qualified most of them have phd degree and quite a number of teachers are good but many of them have knowledge but somewhere lacks in teaching skills. My personal experience with my mentor is really good.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

My POV

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year.
