Likes
- The fest and the cultural programs organized in the college are very pleasing to the eye and are very enjoyable
- It has an extensive network of alumini which helps a lot during placements and also in the internships
- The scenic beauty of the college is amazing.Also the campus size of 780 acres is a huge plus as it has adequate place formany facilities
Dislikes
- The 75% attendance policy is the biggest negative about the college as that makes a compulsion upon the student
- The mindset is a little old one...I.e in some programs there are barricades between the male and female students not allowing them to celebrate or enjoy together
- There is no night canteen present in the campus..All the shops close by 11P.M and there is no source of food after that
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is I think a bit out dated and needs to be updated as the things tought in the classes are of little relevance for the companies you generally target for,i.e. the questions the company ask are not taught in detail in the classes which is a negative
Internships Opportunities
This year around 40% of the students got internship opportunities in circuital branches with stipend ranging from 40k to 400k INR.there are very less on campus internship opportunities for non circuital students
Placement Experience
The campus placements are good and big companies visit the campus.There is good opportunity for students of non circuital as well.For instance,the highest package last year was 52 lakhs on campus with average of 14lakhs and this does not include the PPOs offered.If you get a PPO then your package would be 84lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
Like any college,you have scholarships for the good performing students of the college,And the scholarships are quiet good as theh waive off the entire tution fee which is around 12lakhs.And when it comes to fees,since this is a GFTI,the fees of 18lakhs I would say is not that high considering the fact that even NITs on majority charge 12Lakhs and not many good GFTIs have fees below 20
Campus Life
There classrooms and library are very nice big and spacious.All have air conditioners,Also there are not 1 but 2 smart projectors in each class along with mics so that there is no hearing issue..The library also is 3 floors and very big.Also there aRe many social clubs there.
Admission
There is an indetail process of admission which is smooth and not difficult for the layman...Also the admission staff is very nice and you won't face any issue with them..The only dislike is the fact that they don't entertain customisation.For example if you want to share room with some other person as your room mate is not good,the change process would take around a month
Faculty
Like every indian college,around 60-70% of the teachers are well trained and qualified and their method of teaching is quite student friendly and they make their classes quiero lovely and you never feel bored. But the reasoning 30% teachers are not that efficient.They have all the knowledge.Its just that teaching is different than shaving knowledge...The have information but fail to conectarte it properly
