Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is so much relevant and practical. It increased my curiosity and interest to study psychology. I was not sure about opting psychology in future but now I'm thinking about doing research in the field. They just need to improve their practical and lab facilities. Exams are conducted on the frequent basis like mid terms and semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

BHU does not provide any placement opportunity for our course but they do provide a good placement in a course of our psychology department named MPMIR. Recently few of our seniors got placement in good and reputed companies. But they keep us informed about every possible internship opportunity available.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is negligible in comparison to quality of education here. Most of the universities charge huge amount of money for the same course but BHU provide very low cost education. We pay 2900rs./ yr for MA psychology course. But they charge some service charges and few charges too at the end of every semester which is around 800rs. That is because of they provide many free services like medical facilities, bus facilities and many other facilities to students.

Campus Life

4.5

Overall experience is awesome in the campus. There is so much in campus facilities available for the students like free medical facilities in student health centre and in sunderlal hospital as well. They provide free bus services. Free wi-fi in campus. There are some student clubs which are organized by students one of them named PsyConnect which is doing a great work in the field of mental awareness.

Admission

One should have completed their bachelors degree in any subject to be eligible for this course. For getting admission in BHU one has to give CUET PG exam after that they admit students based on cutoff. This year cutoff was around 250 for gen. Category. Exams are conducted on the frequent basis which is of moderate to difficult level. They need to improve their official work processes like admission process and counselling because students have to hustle a lot because of that.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty to student ratio is quiet impressive and it impacts positively on our learning experiences. We get to interact with teachers once after the class is over, most of the time they are available in their cabin for solving our problems.

Placement Experience:

The placement here at Sharda was too good. Students start attending the Placement interviews and calls from the last semester. I was personally made into 4 companies and 4 offer letters were offered to me. The average package is 3.8 lakhs per annum and highest was about 11 lakhs. There is 100% placement in every dept. but it depends on students if they want to attend or not. After getting the degree i studied for my PhD entrace and now i am working.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The only specific aspect of choosing this curriculum is I wanna go in a teaching position . I'm doing masters in sociology and it's really help me to prepare well for my future job. In my college the teaching methods is quie good for me and in my perspective the frequency and difficulty levels of exam is not excessive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I wanted to become an English Professor, the course really helped me a lot in getting an insight into English Literature. The professors are very encouraging. The curriculum not only relies on the traditional method of teaching but also various co curricular activities are conducted to prepare the students for the real world. Each student is given an opportunity to prove herself. As the exams are conducted annually we get a lot of time to prepare accordingly.

Remarks:

Overall, I can say that my experience of the college for postgraduate degree is good as of now. Although the course is good, but, I would want more focus to be put on practical learning because after all, it is a practical subject. Other than that, I am content with the facilities provided by the college. I was very interested in the subject and love it personally, so it is a great experience for me.
