Mnit-An Overall Experience

The curriculum consider the topics that are currently in demand with industry like the AI, Cse, Cyber security etc. It provides strong knowledge to us in the first year about DSA which will be very helpful in future. The labe gives us hand on experience with coding along with peers. There have been guest lecture to expose students with the industry working individuals. The college also provide research based opportunities to students interested in the same. Although there needs to be work done in improving the coding culture of the college and the students still believe in rote learning approach just to pass the exams

The college also provides internship to students in the 6th semester with stipend as good as 1.5Lakh per month too. The job roles vary from junior software developer to data analyst. The students currently are doing internship in google also. They can also apply for internship off-campus and get internship if they don't get internship from the college level. The duration of internship is mostly 3-4 months long and gives a good stipend to hard working student and the student also get pre placement offer from the companies they did internship for after they complete the internships.

The college has been offering good placement in the past years and the students graduating from here are excelling too. From semester 6th students start taking up internship and can sit for placement in 7th semester. Many companies visit the college. The highest package last year was 64Lpa and average for cse was 22Lpa. The percentage of student placed is high and around 90%+ for cse. Although the placement for this year have beeen quite low and not upto the expectations the% of student places is also quite less. This might be due to the ongoing recession and the changing technology after the coming of Artificial intelligence

The fee demanded by the college is quite legit. The college also provide scholarship and loans to student who need it. There is no such annual fee hike. The complete cost of education goes around 10 lakh for four years btech. The scholarship given ate based on parental income. The scholarship are also given to Sc/St student the tution fee is waived completely. There are many regional scholarship which students can apply for. There are in-campus employment too where student can become helper in labs or so so activities and get a decent stipend of 10k/ month too.

The campus life is good. There are fests conducted by the college. There are two annual fest namely Sphinx and Blitzschlag. Sphinx is held around November and bltiz is held around february. The libraries are pretty amazing filled with books on different fields to explore. The classrooms are well equipped with great technology like smart board. The sports and extracurricular activities are actively taken up by the students and engaging. The clubs here are quite active there are dance clube, acting clubs, consultant club, english club, finance club, ed cell, Ed club, literary club etc.

The hostel that i got is pretty big and good. The hostel area is huge we get a lot to explore inside the hostel and the hostel is multi story with a lot to rooms to capture students inside and keep them safe. The menu gives us variety but the meal quality isn't great there isn't much taste in the food that they provide it almost feels like tasteless food but still we have to live with it. This is the reality of all the college I think. The registration process for hostel is done during the admission process only and the fees for hostel is around 45000 per semester.

The admission in this college is based on the Jee Mains exams. Those who qualify the rank criteria get admission here based upon their rank. The opening rank for cse in general was around 3k and closing rank for general from cse eas around 4k and the rank factor also depends on the reservation if student has any. The students also get reservation which means they can get same branches even at lower ranks. The students can apply for jee mains exams on the website of jee and then they can give the exam and based upon the rank they get they will get the college. I think they can improve in the post online admission process i.e the offline admission process

The faculties of Cse department here are good I think teachers are putting in efforts for the students but there is one problem that i feel with our DSA teacher I think he is not able to deliver the content completely although he is well qualified for the job. Rest the qualifications of the teachers are good some have done Master's and some have done Phd in their respective fields of interest and after that only they are here to teach . The faculty to student ratio is around 90:1 which honestly degrades the learning experience as each student gets lesser personalized attention of the teacher. We can interact with teacher during the college hours either in their office or in the classes whenever we want or we can contact them even through mail
