If i say about faculties then all the faculties are good and friendly
Hostel conditions is almost good and comfortable
Classrooms are good in environmental ways

The college situated in a almost a remote place
Campus is very small no any canteens available

Now I am a third Yr student and if I say about course curriculum about our College or university then I think it is something different from another College or university but Almost good.and if I say about improvement then I think some technical subject should be in 1st year

Class Size: 5Course Fees: INR 14400 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In our colleges we have five branches where three core branch Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and two non core branch Computer science and engineering and Electronics and communication. Tuition fees of core branches is 3000 per semester and non core is 60000 per semester. Hostel fess is same for all the students. Most of the students are get SVMCMS scholarship in our college ,apart form this our college provide freeship scholarship for poor students , and oasis scholarship available

Campus Life

If I share about my campus life than i can say that the college campus is not so good as I aspected ,but here various club is available for improving yourself and many coding club is available to improving your coding skills

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is good for 3rd and and 4th year boys and all the girls but for 1st and 2nd year students no any hostel facilities avialbele , and if I say about hostel rent then it is almost 30000 per year

Hostel Fee: INR 26000 per year

Admission

Our college is in under the state of west Bengal and admission process is happened in our college through wbjee exam that is the entrance exam of state board . Only those students can take admission who take a good rank in wbjee exam .the minimum rank required is at around 10k

Faculty

In our college we have five department and each department have almost 60 students in a year and faculties are almost 7 faculties present per depertments.All the faculties are good in teaching experience and all of them are students friendly ,most of them intereect with us like a family members and we as a student interact with them

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied in in the Government engineering colleges only and I cut conferred admission in this college. I choose this college over the others because I got the confirm admission in it. And if I tell about the admission process of this college, then I have to say this is a Government engineering College which is affiliated to AICTE and students can take admission through WBJEE counseling only and for these students have to qualify the wbt exam and have to secure a particular rank to get admission...Read More

A brief overview of RKMGEC

The main reason students come to this college is because of the fact that fees are affordable and also this is purely government college. Admission process is quite easy you need all the necessary documents (Aadhar, Pan, etc) along with your WBJEE scorecard and rankcard. Other important fact to mention is that only students who are permanent resident of West Bengal can seek for admission. You need a domicile certificate for that....Read More

I applied for many other colleges like Jadavpur university, IEM but wasn't able to make ther with my rank and financial instability. I opted for RKMGEC because it offered a compeling mix of quality education,easy faculty and lowe tuition fees. The eligibility was based on west bengal joint entrance examination (WBJEE) scores with specific cutoffs which vary every year. I face rejection from a couple of other top tier colleges primarily due to high competition and slightly lower intense exams scores.
