Big, beautiful and best environment for learning

The coarce curriculum of VNIT is same as of other iits and nits. Here in 1st year all branches will get same preference and to study same subject so some of them can change branch at starting of 2nd year. But all the subjects and topics are related to daily life so we can relate it with our surroundings and with the help of teachers this is also so simple . Let's talk about exams there are 2 exams (midsem, endsem) in one semester and quiz, assignments also. In exam they only ask questions what they taught in class and timings are also ok

In my branch maximum research internship are available like IIT Hyderabad(stipend 15000), CSIR jamshedpur etc also some of my senior get internship in Germany also. But in cse or ece branch there are numerous companies come for internship opportunities

From 7th semester onwards students are sitting in campus placements. There are many companies like Accenture, Aditya Birla group, relience, Infosys, Microsoft, tata, Adani groups, etc. came for jobs there is 70% placement in metallurgy and materials department and 95% placement in computer science and engineering department. I am planning to go for a core job or go for higher studies in materials engineering as I like to go in research field

Tution fees are same as other nits 66000 for 1 sem and some other fees. But there is fee remission for economically weaker section students which they refund our tution fees every year. For SC/St students there is no tution fees included. And for general OBC students whose income is less than 1lakh they have 100% tution fees remission and for income from1lakh to 6 lakh they have 2/3 of tution fees remission

The central India's biggest cultural fest AAROHI ( in October )and tech fest AXIS (in last March ) are fests and also there are department gathering (after aarohi in October 3days cultural ) and institute gathering (in starting March 10days sports and culture competition). There is a huge library with 1lakh+ books and journals. Also there is computer room. And all types of book are available In classroom there are Ac, smart board, projectors, speaker and Mike, water cooler, lifts cycle parking etc facilities are provided. The campus is such big, green and beautiful with all sports facilities indoor as well as outdoor such as basketball court, football ground, cricket ground, swimming pool, lawn tennis court, table tennis court, kabaddi, kho kho, yoga hall, volleyball court, badminton court etc. There are more than 30 clubs and societies in VNIT. And there is one called PRAYAS who help poor and hopeless student to achieve something in their life. They regularly visits NGOs and slum.

2 seater rooms are for 1st years only and 1seater room after 1st year. In room(with balcony) there are 4 almirahs, 2 desk, 2 chair, 2bed for 2 students. Washroom are also there for 12 room there are 8 washroom and 8 toilet. Other facilities - TV room Sports room Night canteen Sports facilities separately for hostel Garden inside hostel ground 24×7 water and electricity In starting the food was awesome but after 2-3 months the food taste is not good as taste as starting but food quality is good. Menu is also changed time to time. Very simple process for hostel registration you have to only pay the fees on official website and then submit the form which they gave to you. You have to appear in jee mains exam and have more than 75% marks in 12th boards. You get admission to vnit via josaa and csab councelling (for btech). All the information about admission you get from josaa and also at time of admission you can find dates and procedure from official website of VNIT. The one thing I want to be improved that is Xerox service because we have to go in library or near hostel for printing document.

All the teachers are well educated and most of them are IITIANS. They are so cooperative and helpful with us and also teach well. The student vs teacher ratio is 18 in campus. The student mentor program for students is also a very good initiative for giving us 1to1 interaction with our mentor and teachers. At the end I want to say that not everything is perfect but I got the best teachers and college as well.
