A Comprehensive Review of my College Experience

The curriculum is good it gives almost every required knowledge for us to get job in our fields. The curriculum although not prepares exactly to be ready for real world but creates a lot of opprtunity form where we can learn many things. The teaching method and curriculum is still decades old and many new modern things are not included so they should be included and the curriculum should be updated looking at the changes in modern world. The exams level is actually good and time given is sufficient like 3 hours in end semester exams and 1.5hours in mid semester exams. The evaluations are very strict and it is not easy to get marks.

The internship opportunity are also very good. The average stipend offered is 30k per month. Around 50 companies visited campus for the internship , although number of students who get paid internships are very less. You can also apply for research intern under professors which is also a good choice.

The placements are actually very impressive. The students from the 7th semester are eligible for the placement cyle and around 400+ companies visits the campus and almost above 80% students got placed. The highest package offered was 64LPA while average was 10.8LPA. My plan is to get the placement first and then after some years i'll go for my masters.

The fee structure is like Rs62500/semester is the tuition and additional Rs4000/- are included for exam fee,hostel fee,etc. The cost of complete degree will be around 8lakh. The hostel fee per semester is Rs40000/-. There are many scholarships available for students who are financially weak. For students parents income less than 1 lakh full tuition fee is refunded, for income between 1-5lakh 2/3rd of tuition fee is refunded and for income 5-8lakh 1/3rd is refunded.

The overall experience of the campus life is also very wonderful and there are many fests and events happens in the campus . The main cultural event "Aarohi" is the central indias largest cultural fest and "AXIS" is the technical fest. The library has almost all books availble required to understand the syllabus. The sports facilites are superb. There are 5 synthetic badminton courts,2 tennis court and 4 table tennis tables, 2 basketball courts,2 football ground and a big cricket ground with practice net area seperated. There is also a 50*25m swimming pool with all the facilities available.

The hostels are very good.The rooms are very good and each room has 2 almirah and one fan with a small balcony. The mess food though is not good and the quality is very bad. The registration process is very simple you can just go to official site and register yourself.

To get the admission first you have to clear the JEE(Mains) examination with very good rank and after JOSSA councilling the college is alloted. The application fee and other dates are updated on the college officially website. There is a reservation same as in other NITs. The frequency of exams is that 2 main exams are there in a semester (midsemester and end-semester exams),and the difficultyu level is also good.

The faculty to student ratio is good, for every 15-20 students there is one professor. One faculty advisor is alloted to every 20 students, who help us in many situations throughout our entire campus life. The learning experience from professors is good although not great as there are many professors who just come and teach and no interaction is there. The faculties are highly educated and reputed in their research fields. We can interact with teachers whenever they are free and can ask any doubt, they are very helpful in such situations. Students can also approach to professors for the research internship opportunities which they are most likely to get.
