- I like the college's infrastructure the most and its location in the Nagpur city.
- Academically, the collge is excellent with many of the faculty members having extensive backgrounds in their fields.
Dislikes
- I don't like the rigorous requirement of 75% attendance .
- Mess food is not so good and the quality of food keeps changing everytime.
- In comparison to last year, placement for civil engineering is not so strong this year
Course Curriculum Overview
The college course curriculum is well respected for its applicability and thoroughness to both academic norms and industry requirements. continuous efforts need to update and refine the curriculum as well as improvements in teaching methods can further improve the learning experience for students.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities is decent for non core and for internships in core companies ,opportunities is quite low. Companies like TVS, axon mobile, dsaw, itc, relience, ZS assocites ,mahindra , john deer and many more it companies came this year for internships.
Placement Experience
Placements are decent in VNIT Nagpur, placements for circuital branch is quite good and excellent placements can be seen in the mechanical department. Many IT, core non-core companies visited for the placements like wipro, ZS associates, Dsaw, Amazon, zomato, tatapower,tvs, elience, etc. Even a number of PSUs are also visited for the placement opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee of the college for B.Tech is 62500 and icluding exam fee etc we have to pay 67000 each semester. 100% Fee waiver is available for those students whose annual family income is less than 1 lakh. 2/3 rd fee waiver is available for those students whose annual income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh. You can apply for scholarships like MahaDBT and NSP for the college.
Campus Life
My overall experience is quite decent concerning my campus life. The college organises a technical fest known as Axis and a cultural fest known as Aarohi every year. The college has a large number of clubs which include every aspect from social, dance, music, drama, codding, to management. You can join any of these clubs according to your interest.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are quite good and provide high quality of facilities. A single room is provided from the 3rd year having a bed ,a table a chair with light and night lights.Hostel have two night canteens available at night till 4 am .
Admission
You can take admission in this college through the rank of JEE main conducted by NTA every year. NTA conduct JEE Main twice in a year in the month of Feb and april. College provide reservation for SC, ST, OBC and home state for the students for admission. If your AIR is below 40000 you will get admission to the college.
Faculty
VNIT Nagpur has a moderate faculty-to students ratio,providing ample opportunities for interaction and personalised attention in small class.Each department has a class size of 125 students,dividing into two section eaqually ,means a class strength of 60 students additionally for lab each class is divided into for groups containing 12-15 students which provide ample opportunities to interact more with tha faculty in lab.You can interact with faculties within the class hour from 8 am to 6 pm in their cabin or in classes, even you can interact with them with mails and whatsapp.
