Remarks
It's a Private College, so the management is their to earn money. So, you'll have to forge your way through them, if you want to have fulfilling college life. Mind you it's not DU, so don't even think about getting the same college life. Teachers are help
Entrance Preview
Indraprastha University Entrance Exam (IPUCET) My rank was 11000 and as i did my 12th from Delhi, So, i was eligible for Delhi State quota which is 75% in IPU. Now the admission process has been digitalized so everything is done on Internet.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was good. And University is making changes, to keep up with new technologies. For Electives, in 4th year you get to choose electives, but its same subject for all the students in the class. So, electives are choosen by voting, whichever gets highest vote. All the student has to take that subject
Internships Opportunities
College doesn't assists in internship, So you'll have to find it on your on. It's compulsory to do 6 weeks internship according to complete the degree. I did my internship in DMRC, i got there because of my fathers links, so you have to help yourself in this matter.
Placement Experience
Placement was good in my year as to what have been before me, but most companies are mass recruiters or IT companies. Core companies are very less. Package goes from 1. 5lacs to 3. 6 lacs. Maximum was 4lacs
College Events
There are two types of fests, one is cultural and other is Technical. Participation is ok ok and mostly are college students. Due to the location of the college Fests are during day only.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is quite cheap when comparing with other private engineering colleges, it's around 1lacs per year. (or around it) As the university is govt. college can't make their own fee rules.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is EWS (Economic Weaker section ) Scholarship given by university, apart from that not much is there from college. Loan is available through bank, but college doesn't have any partnership with them.
Campus Life
First of all campus is not that big as with most of the colleges in delhi apart from a few big names. You will get bored with the campus within first month. It's an engineering college and with no hostel, Girls are there but few and not that very open. There are technical workshops, if you have interest you can make your own student groups with some technical society affiliation, but you'll have to take initiative as most teachers are reluctant to do any work outside curriculum. Mixed Ethinicity, race and Religion i'd say. Not big of a problem with these factors. Although there is politics, but its far far less than DU colleges. I'd say mixed Economic Status as well. Be prepared to do everything yourself if you want to do something extra then curiculum
Hostel Facilities
No Hostel is there in the college, but there are a large fleet of college buses to every part of delhi. There are some PGs in nearby villages they are in OKOK condition, but are quite cheaper. The only problem is location, its quite far from Delhi city.
Alumni/Alumna
Although college takes a allumini fee, but not much alumini network is present. Though seniors are supportive but you'll have to talk to them yourself.
Exam Structure
There are internal and external Exams. Internal exams are conducted in the institute only, and they are two per semester and are of 10marks each. The format has been changing each year, some times its one exam per day or sometimes its 2 exams per day. Ext
Faculty
Faculty is OK OK. Some are especially good. But most of them are all right. Most of the course is completed before the exam but there are some topics that student has to do by himself.
