A brief review of nit rourkela

So my interest was in chemical branch so that's why i took this branch and the curriculum of chemical branch is very vast and talking about real world applications i feel like it's little bit old and it does request updated curriculum i mean i feel like this and the timing of exams vary a lot from extremely morning from extreme it can be conducted in any time and the difficulty level of the exams are also very hard compared to other colleges

I can't tell you about this because I'm still in second year but in brief I can tell you about this, that there are few companies that offers internships and stipends and one of the example I can give you is I think Microsoft also comes for internship but it only accepts few people and for the software developer role

Placements are good and in all the branches almost everyone gets placed and infact some branches there is 100 percent placement and many companies visit this college for placements however if someone is looking for PSUs those companies only accept through gate

There are lot of scholarship opportunities in nit rourkela for which students can apply for, there are lot of scholarships available for students specifically for 1st year students there are lot of scholarships for whole engineering degree one can research about scholarships on the internet and i have not taken any stipend or anything and the affordability of this college is very high compared to other nits because the fees is increased a lot

To be honest the campus life here is decent I would not say it's great and it also depends on the people you are surrounded with if you got good people around you and you got good friend your college life will be good and talking about sports activities there are lots of sports and extracurricular activities available in this college where students can look for and talking about clubs there are lots of clubs available here for student self development

There is not much hostel facilities the hostel here are decent however the hostel which is allotted in 1st year is very conjusted because the rooms are very small and meant for single occupancy however from second year you'll get different hostel which are decent and the mess here is not up to the mark because the fees is very high but the quality is not

Eligibility of the course is ofcourse you'll have to appear for jee exam and do all the josaa procedures and all for getting into this college and good percentile of jee exam is required after getting this college in josaa you will have to visit college site of nit rourkela talking about reservation benefits you must have appropriate certificates

Faculties are not good and most professors are very strict and if you will go to them for any kind of problems most probably they won't help you properly and let's suppose you went to them in the hope that you can share your personal problems they won't understand you and students oftenly do the interact with professors because most professors are strict however some professors are there who are good
