Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to pursue psychology but I also wanted to study history. But there is a twist I haven't studied history in my 11th and 12th classes but in college, the course is so easy and relevant that I understand it simply also the course was very comprehensive and understandable but it is lengthy.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees for first-year students for various courses start in the range of 14160 the 19800 something per year , It is paid online at the University of Delhi Admission Portal before a student is admitted to the college. Second and third-year students are required to pay fees online on the college portal. Miranda House also provides scholarships and financial aid services to those who are unable to pay fees but the course is affordable and reliable.

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of activities and societies, and also societies perform various dances, singing and even dramas, there are fests and the most famous of Miranda house is Tempest, where a lot of fun and activities are performed. I have enjoyed every fests and activities with my friends.

Admission

Generally, the cut-offs were usually high like 760+ getting admission but I was admitted from the sports quota and my score was 690, so the admission is pretty simple, for Delhi University you only need 1 language 4 domains and GT(if you want to give) it is an optional domain so this combination is eligible for whatever course you wanted to pursue, after the entrance exam there is the counselling session for selection of University or courses for you, which is called CSAS where you will take part and then have to prepare preference sheet (the list of colleges or courses you want to pursue) then from that sheet , you will able get seat in college according to what you filled in the preference sheet.

Faculty

4.5

All the faculties were very supportive and helpful, they encouraged us to participate in various activities and also guided us through semesters. They provide an enjoyable teaching environment where everyone loves to study and make every chapter interesting. This is from a student who never likes to study but explains to us every chapter in detail and in a joyful manner like teacher and students interact a lot during classes and also they sometimes make jokes related to subjects like we laugh and learn at the same time.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
