Likes
- Greenary around the Campus. Its it surrounded with variety of flora and fauna all around the campus
- It is one of the oldest engineering colleges of India, established in 1955.
- Seniors are very helpful in our college, They guide and provide us with all the needed resources for semester exams as well as placement purposes
Dislikes
- Institute is not well maintained despite the high fees.Garbages are seen at public locations. Most of the water filters are of no use.
- Since It is an open campus, It is not very safe for Girls. Security is not very tight. Lots of restrictions ae imposed on girls based on dressing styles etc
- Food facilities around the campus are not sufficient. There are no facilities of night canteens
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is quite upto the mark as compared to the IIT's. 1st year studies are mostly based on JEE syllabus and 11th and 12th standard. Difficulty is quite moderate level. Students can effectively score good by sticking to the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are quite good at our college. Top companies that come to iits also come to bit for internships. Faculties help us with the preparation required for grabbing a good internship. A decent amount is stipend to the hired candidates.
Placement Experience
Most of the companies that comes to mid IIT's also come to BIT for recruitment. Top companies like Microsoft, amazon, flipkart and various other products companies also come for recruitment in the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is quite high for the B Tech Courses. And Scholarships are provided but to a very selective and small crowd based on their performances. The complete cost of education is around 18 lakhs for b tech courses without any scholarships
Campus Life
BITOTSAV is the annual fest in BIT, it is scheduled in the mid of March. 2nd most known fest is the Pantheon, which is the tech fest of bit. All the clubs actively participate in the organisation of these fests
Hostel Facilities
Girls hostel is not at all upto the mark, we are given a single room that is to be shared by 2 people. Space is very insufficient for living. Mess is ok, but needs to stand in the line most of the time.
Admission
Eligibility: need to clear JEE mains with a good rank. For top branches like cse, aiml, rank should be under 20000. Scoring at least 75 percent in boards is a mandatory to take admission here in bit mesra.
Faculty
The faculties are quite friendly and easy to approach with especially that of Computer Science Department. They are open to students with their doubts most of the time. Faculty to students ratio is quite good in this college.
