- The Chandigarh Engineering college provides me a very good environment to study. College infrastructure is very good. Computer labs is equipped with latest Computers and tools .
- I participated in many college events like parivartan , aaveg, navratre festival and all.
- I got a very good mentorship feom my class councilor throughout my year . She is ver much qualified.
Dislikes
- I don't like the very hard strictness about uniform code .
- Dayscholar are not allowed after college hour .
Course Curriculum Overview
I am not satisfied with cse course curriculum. Entire curriculum are focus on very old type of teaching. At some points cse curriculum is good is satisfied but in real life there is less use of it . In first year they teach us physics, chemistry, workshop of mechanical etc which are not required in computer science department . In cec timing of exam is good but sometimes even semester sessions are small that 4 minth or 4.5 mothns session
Internships Opportunities
College provide internship after 2nd semester and 4th semester and 6th semester. If we want internship from another source , they we have to wait days to get permission. 2nd semester summer training was on web development. They also provide internship training on php . There is no stipend provide as i know.
Placement Experience
In CEC placement is good because there is more than 100 companies who can visit college for freshers . Students from semester 6th and onwards are eligible for seating in campus placement drive. Highest package is 45 lakh per annum and average package is 5.5 lakh per annum. There is good chance of around 68% to get placement. My plan is to start my own IT company .
Fees and Financial Aid
When i joined cec , in that time college fee was 95000 per year excluding hostel fees.but after 1 year of college , tution fee was increased to 134000 annual fee which is too much to increase in a year. My complete cost of my 4 years btech is may around 8.5 to 9 lakh . There is no scholarships for students which are from bihar and no financial id but there is loan service is available. I didnot take part in any job roles.
Campus Life
My overall experience is far better than good. I take part in many annual functions in my college. One of the biggest annual fest is parivartan . I also take part in Smart india hackathon which is the biggest technical event of my college. Their is various sports which are available in cec and they conduct their tournaments time to time and they also organise party for students to overcome our tension. DSW club is very famous in college they organise many events and students have many chance to get in various club like dsw
Admission
To take admission in cec you have to pass 12th class with above 75% marks in 12th . You can just search the Chandigarh Engineering college landran and open the first page and you can select the btech course and then cse and fees structure and all Their is no reservation or quata is cec. Exams timing is very good and it will happen specifix intervals. Levels of Exams are not ao difficult. I can easily score 20 out of 24 in mid semester. They can improve to implement more on practical knowledge of cources
Faculty
In my college , faculties are very much qualified. Mostly faculty have a good experience of teaching. As the number of students per class is 60 and according to it faculty member is sufficient to attend all these students. They even do their doubt session class for us. In my college, faculties approach of teaching is good they interact with almost every students from weaker to strong students . We can easily approach teachers or anything. Teachers are very helpful for students.
