What Students Say
Likes
- It has a reputation in the market, so that provides a good background to your career education
- Exam system is quite student friendly.
- There was a time when the placement ratio here was 90%, so i hope this season atleast it may go close to that.
Dislikes
- Average infrastructure. The campus is highly saturated. Lots of buildings in a relatively smaller campus. No open spaces/grounds. Infrastructure is below par at this level.
- Management is highly unpredictable. Exam notices, notice regarding any holidays come very close to the concerned dates.
- Campus life and college events are just miserable. Only classes, assignments and exams, no sign of any cultural events or programs
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is quite relative to the standard curriculum around such colleges but the real world application oriented knowledge is poor here. The semesters are short, they randomly cover some portion of the books according to their wish, and conduct exams on those concepts. The timings of exams can be very unpredictive. Sometimes the gap between sem start-midsem-endsem might be around 2 months and sometimes the midsem is from 2months from sem start and the endsem is from 20days of midsem.
Internships Opportunities
During 3rd years, a few companies will be coming for interships. Getting selected for internships for completely on your skills. Each company on an average takes about 2-3 students. Highradius Corporation took the highest no of students(65) for internship(Both paid and unpaid) this year, providing 3 PPOs of 8LPA.
Placement Experience
It has had a good reputation regarding placements. However, the placements also highly depend on the current market scenarios. Avg Package: Rs 4LPA Wipro, Cognizant, Deloitte, Accenture, Mediamint are among top recruiters. Infosys,Volvo, L&T and many more such companies also participate in placement drives.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is just above market rate. Fees during my admission year was Rs 235000*4, but now has it has had an increament of Rs20000 for the next 2 admission batches. In my batch the schlorship was Rs35000, Rs25000, Rs15000PA ( 90%,80%,70% in 10th and 12th, respectively ). No financial aids or assistance.
Campus Life
Campus life is poor. There are a bunch of clubs but mostly they are self engaged. No college level large scale event takes place. There is annual sports meet, that can be considered the biggest event of the college but that is small compared to other colleges' events.
Admission
As it's a private college, technically everything who has passed 10th,12th can take an admission. Admission process is simple, it has an free examination of its own called SAAT, through which it takes admission. Students can take admission through jee scores. And of course by giving donations!
Faculty
Faculties can be considered decent. Around 60% of faculties are PhD scholars. Majority of faculties are cooperative, can be reached out to even after class hours. But some teachers can be very mean, but that happens everyone, right! Faculty can be rated above average
