Likes
- I liked the infrastructure of college very much. I also liked the faculty very much as they are very experienced and very friendly, they are helpful in every aspect and they also try to help you whenever possible.
- Clubs and Chapters in our college are very useful. They help us to mingle with many students.
Dislikes
- The weather of Amaravathi and Guntur is very humid. It is very difficult to live in these kind of conditions in summer season.
- As we have FFCS( Fully Flexible Credit system) where we can choose our faculty and slots that we want our subjects to have them in, Some times when the website doesn't work while course registration, we are left with strict faculty who can fail us.
Course Curriculum Overview
In VIT- AP We have Fully Flexible Credit System FFCS where the student have the control over the subjects they want to do in their 4year Btech life. The Core subjects should be done mandatorily but when it comes to electives the students have the choice to choose their favourite subjects.
Internships Opportunities
In VIT there is a very good chance to get an internship in a good Multi National Company as we have around 600 companies who come for recruiting students. VIT conducts placements for its all campuses in a single place with no partiality towards any campus.
Placement Experience
Till last year the placements in our college have been in a good pace. Almost 70% of our senoirs got placed with an average package of 500000 per annum. But in this year due to less jobs in software industry it may be difficult for us to get jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
So there are two ways to join our college. First way is via VITEEE examination where there are 5 categories and you may get allotted into the 5 caltegories based upon your rank in your VITEEE exam. The fees may vary from 198000-500000. The other way is via AP EAMCET exam, where they can the govt scholarship, and reservations apply here.
Campus Life
The experience with the college has been great, due to its infrastructure, a good and air conditioned library. There will be events going on every week, and they are conducted by clubs and chapters of the college. Coming to big events, every year we have a technical and non technical event. The technical event is named as VTAPP and non Technical event is called as VITOPIA. We also have an Indoor Stadium, paid and free gymnasiums in every hostel and we also have a rock climbing wall as well.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels in our college are a bit on the expensive side, but they have all the necessary things that students need. Every hostel has a Indoor games room, with table tennis table, carrom boards etc. And every hostel also has an GYM which is free. The quality of food here is good but you may not like it as it lacks spices and tastes pale. The hostels are maintained very clean. The common washrooms are cleaned twice a day.
Admission
After your VITEEE examination there will a 5 phase councelling process based upon the ranks for eg Phase 1 for students with rank 0-20000 and so on. After that in your councelling you are requested to keep 25 preferences with fee categories as well. There are no reservation if you join with VITEEE but there are reservations if you join via AP EAMCET.
Faculty
For every class we have around 65-70 members. And most of the faculty have their doctorates from NIT and IIT's, so they can be considered as people who can guide us in the right way with their experience. The faculty here are very friendly which help students to interact with them very well which helps them to go ahead in their career.
