A GLIMPSE OF MY COLLEGE, IMS & SUMH, BHUBANESWAR

Well MBBS is a serving degree, if you are interested in serving the people you can choose this degree. It also needs a lot of patience, here we have classes from 7 AM so its a bit hard to wake up this early & ends at 4 PM which causes more trouble coz u won't get to rest properly, usually we end up being tired & lack of sleep, so I think this schedule can have a bit more change with regards to us children. The exams here are done very frequently, as in the class tests are taken up time to time , sometimes surprise tests are also done so u have to be very updated with what's being studied each cls.The internals are held in every trimester & at the end of the year a product exam is being held which is the important one.

Well this is MBBS, there's no company other than the hospitals waiting for u to work for them at the end. Internship is in the final year. Usually u get rotating internships in different department as per you are alloted. The internship money is around 30k here now which are heard to be increasing in coming years. The hostel fees is what u are going to pay that year only.

The tution fees here is 19.60L/yr which is currently the upgraded version. As per the hostel & fees it's 50k/yr for non ac & nearly 1L/yr for ac hostellers. The mess fees is 40k/yr here which makes a total of 20-21 lacs / year & nearly 1cr for 5.5 years. Well I don't think there's any scholarships here currently, not in my knowledge tho.The last year of internship pays nearly around 30k now ig, bt it may increase with coming times

The campus life here is a bit dull in comparison to other colleges. Yearly one fest is held, the IMPULSE. It goes on for like a month with includes all the curricular & extracurricular actives & a no.of fun activities too... The freshers get a welcome fest called NEOFIESTA which you all will enjoy too... Other than that the extracurricular activities like debate, online gaming, poetry, sports & all is held time to time, you just have to stay updates with the details.

The hostels here are ranging from basic to moderate quality according to the amount u are paying. But they include all facilities too. Some hostels have common mess like only one or two of them while others have separate for boys n girls. The registration & allotment for hostel will be done once you come for admission. The food here tho is not value for the money. Like talking about the quality of food, it really can be improved. The varieties need a bit improvement in the veg section too. Other than tht the food is good ????. Well since am an hosteller I have zero knowledge about living in rented room, although I do know about the people who are dayboarders. U don't have to pay for the mess fees if you r hosteller, & yes u can eat here in hostels sometimes.

Eligibility of the course is the cutoff marks should be above 350 or else you can apply with the NRI quota. About the form, you can find the form & all on the website of the NTA, which is currently the conducting body of NEET _ UG & other competitive exams . NEET_UG is being held once a year & the question papers usually differ from easy to moderate level. Well the organising bodies can really improve on this note of holding this exam only once a year as the no.of aspirants is rising in lacs yearly now & the seats are also too less in comparison to the people appearing the exam

Well the faculties here are very cooperative, the ratio of students we get to each faculty is 10 students like each faculty will have 10 mentees. As also there's a mentor mentee class every Friday where the mentors interact with their mentees, regarding all the topics like studies, hostel, food, outdoor entertainments, mental pressure etc.... You can absolutely share anything but beware of offending them or being vulgar with words or actions. It's rude anyway
