Likes
- Placements are quiet good. As the placements are centralised, we got lot of opportunities.
- Culture, as there are students from all over india, the culture in this university is diverse. We can celebrate each others festival and enjoy a lot.
- Exposure, you can get good exposure here as people from all over india are studying and staying here, also there are lot of clubs and chapters.
Dislikes
- Campus is still under construction, this campus is established in 2017 so there is construction going on all over the campus, but it seems it will be complete soon.
Course Curriculum Overview
As there is a FFCS System which is Fully Flexible Credit System, all students have power to choose their subjects along with faculties as they want. Also students can make there own timetable. Also the Caltech methodology allows interactive learning.
Internships Opportunities
There are lot of opportunities available here. There are lot of companies visits here and offers internship to students. Companies like AMD, Arm, Microsoft, TCS, Amazon, Adobe provide internship opportunities to students. Also there are lot of international opportunities available.
Placement Experience
The placements are good as all four campuses have centralised placement system. And the Placement cell is also good. They start placement training from 3rd year, and at the end of 3rd year your placement process is started. As there is lot of competition in VIT. There is CGPA criteria for getting shortlisted for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite complicated, there is a category system, after giving VITEEE exam you will get admission in different categories based on your rank. For category 1 Btech fees is less which is 197000 and for category 5 it is maximum
Campus Life
Infrastructure is not that much good as the campus is under construction. But the culture here is good as students come from all over india. There lots of clubs and chapters here, so here you can get a good exposure and also you can experience diverse culture.
Hostel Facilities
There are different types of rooms available here like 2 bedded, 3 bedded, 4 bedded, 6 bedded and 8 bedded, also you have option of AC and Non AC. there are 3 different mess here in different hostels, the food is average or can say it's good. Here they provide meal for four times.
Admission
There is a entrance exam called VITEEE, which is common exam for all the four campuses. Based on the rank secured in the exam you get the admission. For that you have to go through VIT councelling process.
Faculty
All the facilities in this campus are 100 percent doctorate. All are PhD holders, so they have lot of knowledge to share. Also the teacher to students ratio is also pretty impressive. There is a system call proctor, in this for every 100-200 students a faculty is assigned as a proctor. He helps them in academics also helps to solve issues also work as a mentor for them.
Interview Experience
There is only one examination for admission which is VITEEE. It is a MCQ test having syllabus Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and aptitude. The preparation is as same as JEE or other competative examinations. There is no negative marking.
