The curriculum is a bit complicated and confusing but can easily manage. The curriculum helps very much to prepare for real world works The areas where they can improve is make students do more labs than theory to improve

the campus placements in our college start from 6th semester and most of the students are provided with placement opportunities But if you have a cgp of 8.5 and above, then u are eligible for superdream offers that is 10 lakh plus

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is most complicated the less rank you get in viteee , the more fees u have to pay to join here i suggest not to go past category 2 most people take category 5 and join but i is of no use

Campus Life

The campus life is up to the mark and most of the people enjoy it There are several clubs which you can join and and participate it many events There are ample of technoligies provided in the classrooms

Hostel Facilities

The hostels in vit chennai are new and are maintained very neat and are very strict The mess quality is also good but mostly depends on the mess you choose The hostel fee is way too high and above anybodys paygrade The hostel has high security and there are way oo amny security guards Outside food i.e. which cannot be stored are not allowed

Hostel Fee: INR 188000 per year

Admission

Admission into vit can be through viteee exam it is very easy and they give you a rank for a result you can get seat at any rank but the fee is too high i better sugest to go for les than 50000 rank and take a category less than 3 in fee

Faculty

the faculty to student ratio is good but they hand over most of their workk to their scholars. they are busy at time in their own projects. Some of the good teachres give marks without any effort but most of them do not offer marks and tend to fail

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
