Course Curriculum Overview
The learning process of how things work, the practical knowledge behind the theory we learn is what drew my attention to taking up my honours to what it is. The intriguing mind never lets me stop and have gratification for what I've learned and hence it pushed me to study further deep into how and why something occurs so. The curriculum is equipped with theoretical as well as practical knowledge to provide us students with a two way approach to know the happenings in and around us. This learning pushes our inquisitiveness to a different level to want to study more and more about it. There is scope for improvement in bridging the generation gap between teachers and students. The frequency of examination is fixed during the whole academic year and the difficulty level changes from year to year amd it also varies upon the students preparation for the exams
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee asked for in the college is during the odd semesters is comparatively high for some lower middle class students but the government hands out scholarship to students for their study period in the college by which it becomes a less of a headache for the student and the family.
Campus Life
Campus life other than classrooms is something you'll long for after gone from the college. Annual festivities such as College Week, Youth Festival, Freshers, Farewell, General Elections etc are held and its a lifetime of an experience. The library in the college is consisting of variety of journals and books divided into proper sections and taken very good care of. The classrooms are equipped with manual or digital boards (as per requirement) and the laboratory facilities are integrated in the respective departments itself Sports and other co-curricular activities such as drama, dance, singing, mime, mimicry etc are held on a regular basis. Clubs are there such as literature club, drama society which conducts programmes regularly for the exposure to students who are new.
Admission
Eligibility is dependent upon 10+2 board results. Application form is uploaded on the college website and application fee is changed yearly also the application dates are announced on the website itself. Reservation system exists based on caste such as ST, SC, OBC, MOBC, etc. The improvement of admission process can be achieved by making the whole process online and whenever a seat is vacant a new notification about seats should be published on the website and on newspapers.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:10 at maximum. The learning becomes easier for the student and the teaching becomes easy for the teacher as the students they have to cater to is the bare minimum. Also the faculties are much qualified to teach us the basic as well as some extra topics and related concepts for our projects or assignment related works. The approach of faculities towards teaching is very straight. A no nonsense approach to be honest. Teachers will teach the topics given in the curriculum and make us do some work on our own to help us navigate the way out of a puzzling topic. Also mentorship during assignments or projects is very apt. They will provide us with all the raw materials required for it be it books, journals, articles, research papers etc The interaction (be it study related or personal) with teachers can be done at a regular basis because within the first few classes they make us comfortable to have a conversation with them.
