- The infrastructure of campus and it's a very beautiful place ,calm environment.All indoor and outdoor gmes facilities are there including swimming. For class rooms, smart projects are provided with wifi for students. Library resource is very good.
- The placements are good for Btech marine engineering and other courses. Most companies xame in 2-4 yr for placement and all are international companies. The starting salary is around 500$ per months
- The hostel facility is also good and mess food is quite better as compared to ither colleges mess
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good. From technical subjects like workshop to Marine IC engine the subjects hold good vakue in any engineers life and future. In curriculum they have included subjects like Indian traditional knowledge,yoga, constitution of India. The Class test timings are not that good and yes you have to give internal viva also which i think is unnecessary part because in ither colleges they don't take any one of either CT or viva
Internships Opportunities
They have inbuilt college ship Prabhu Vidya where they offered internship for 2.5 lakhs and the have also provided placement during internship period. The stipend is 3000 per month and internship period is 5 months
Placement Experience
placements are good , around 95% of batch get placed in the academic years and rest of them get placed after passing out through college only . The highest package is 900-1000$ per month as per the company contract.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee for btech marine engineering is 1 22 lakhs for 4 years and they top 35 seats for scholarship and academic awards. Highest scholarship is around 40k. They also provide STCW courses and welding courses having respective fee of 2000 and 11000 INR.
Campus Life
There are many festivals celebrated in college including Holi , Diwali and the annual fest if college is HORIZON it includes sports competition,dances, pc gaming matches, meme making etc. There are many clubs in TMI that are cyber security club, Jigyasa which is for helping children outside college providing them study materials and education, cultural clubs etc
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is not that good no ac no coolers are allowed and wifi is also slow. Sometimes there are problem with cleaning facilities and the rooms are small for one of the hostel and . The hostel staff is also not that appreciable.
Admission
Fir admission first fill form of TMISAT and IMUCET . For TMISAT in BTech Marine the cut off is 40/70 and for BSC nautical science it is 50+ and after that individual must give interview to the college and on selection he must give medical examination to dg shipping approved doctors
Faculty
All the faculties are having high qualifications. Most of them are captain amd chuef engineers from merchant navy. Some of them are Indian navy commanders and others are PHD holders. All of them have good way of teaching and understanding the students. Even students can visit there residential olace in case of any work with there permission
