What Students Say

Likes

They have 3 shifts, which makes it easy for people to choose
Only 3-4 classes in a day, therefore it's not tiresome
Good infrastructure, canteen is good and there is a football ground and a great library

Dislikes

As a educational institution, they are biased, favouring the catholic society
No idea about the placements yet, heard that the avy package is 4-5L pa
Teachers and mentors are not that interactive

Course Curriculum Overview

I am doing CA and BCom was the best degree option to do with it. BCom curriculum does not really prepares us for real world as we already have to do masters for a decent job. We have semester exam evey six months, the difficulty level is moderate

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience

Campus placements starts from 5th semester. There are many companies that has visited such as TCS, PWc and more. The highest package was about 20L pa and average is 4-5 L I am a CA aspirant and working on it.

Fees and Financial Aid

For BCom it is ?75,000, people from other states had to pay 10,000 more. There are many scholarships available for financially weak people. The complete cost is only 75000. Other than that PG rent in near by places is very high.

Campus Life

There are 2 fests. Prathiba which is held in the month of september or October and Viseges in the month of March. There is a huge library in our university, accessible for everyone. There is a smartboard in almost every class . Our university is known for its sports team, there is a large no. of sports offered

Admission

It was 95% cut off for Karnataka board. I applied in the college website. There is reservation available for catholic students There was a interview, once you are on the list consider you have got your seat. the interview is just for a formality, they will ask few basic 11 and 12th grade questions

Faculty

There are about 75 students in my class, it's almost the end of the year but our faculty would not know our names. They just come, give their lecture and leave. Not all teachers, some of them are good, we can approach them easily.

Perfect for Online Programs

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rat 8/10 as the course was pretty good, I learnt eaverything in my B.com, whether its abut marketing, finance, sales , accounts. So basically it included everything a student needs in their graduation. I suggest that there should have been regular classes with encourages student teacher interaction.

Placement Experience:

MY COLLEGE MY BEST DAYS

Remarks:

In our period it was prestigious to study commerce stream in our college and had good rating for the course and the for students who passed out from that college. The management had good lot of concern about the poorer section of the society and hence kept the fee structure at a very nominal level and thus help to get education for all

Well it was the best days in life I had with friends

Remarks:

They need to improve little infrastructure .they are improving but still need to do. They also have to put some efforts to help students excel in their overall development and rest everything is fine here in canara, i loved studying in this college. Faculties are also good,friendly in nature.
