Likes
- College environment is amazing as it is one of the most cleanest colleges in Bengaluru.
- Canteen is so amazing that I never went out for meals not did I carried food from home and by the time I was in college, I had my meals in college only.
- Classes are so well equipped with all the latest technology and even though it's a basic graduate college, the college has facilities at par with any private college or university in India.
Dislikes
- Indoor sporting facilities are sparse and college needs to address that as sometimes there are hour long breaks and it is difficult to bide time during those breaks.
Course Curriculum Overview
Accounting is vast and for people who don't know that one can't build a business until they know accounting. The curriculum is affiliated to Bangalore University and needless to say that University is one of the top rated universities in the country and there's a reason for it. Exams were at the end of each semester of almost four and a half month.
Placement Experience
Before final semester students are prepared and once they enter their final semester, they can apply for campus placements. From banks to consulting companies, to companies of various domains who are in need of accountants approaches our college to rope some freshers at an average salary of 3-4 lakhs a year. Since th strength of the course is high, the placements percentage comes around 55-60%.
Fees and Financial Aid
For scholarship one has to enquire as honestly there are too many scholarships. Fees is quite less and my total cost of education was lesser than 1.5 lakhs. I wanted to work in a consulting firm and luckily I got one such job through campus placements.
Campus Life
Apart from Anubhab which is the annual fest ther are various other fests organized at MES college. Societies are quite a few and are mostly run by students. There are hostels inside the campus and a few canteens and a playground where all sports are accomodated as we don't have seperate fields for seperate sports.
Admission
One has to go through entrance and entrance score decides whether you become eligible or not. The admin office is in the main building and one can carry all their required documents and once verified, you get admitted after paying the required fees.
Faculty
The most knowledgeable and experienced faculty is what i saw at MES. They have left their impact on us in such a way that it will last long. Ratio was quite fair as faculties knew us by our names and even though we have new faculties in every semester but we could go and interact with any facilities whenever we felt the need.
