- Class schedules are very hectic and very less time gaps between successive classes. We have 7 classes per day for the entire week.
- Gatekeepers are very arrogant and have no compassion with the students.
- Faculty members sometimes fail to explain concepts properly and are ignorant of whether students are able to grab the concepts or not.
Course Curriculum Overview
The institute provides a life like corporate atmosphere which prepares students to face challenges and handle multiple projects simultaneously. The curriculum includes preparation for higher studies and various government examinations which makes it highly considerable option for students. We have 7 classes of 50 minutes each regularly from Monday to Friday. The university tests student's progress effectively by regular examinations.
Internships Opportunities
TCS , Wipro and Accenture are the main recruiters which provide students with opportunities based on their skills and capabilities with a basic stipend ranging from 3 to 7k. Students may also opt for internship in various other companies as per their choice.
Placement Experience
The campus provides placement to 70 to 80 percentage of students with an average package ranging from 3.5 lacs to 4.5 lacs. The students are eligible for placements from the beginning of the 7th semester. The highest package was 72lpa and a lot of students got placed at a salary of more than 8lpa.TCS , Wipro , Accenture and infotech are among top recruiters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is 85000 per semester for non Bengalis for the session 2023-2027 and the total tuition fees of 710000 for btech in CSE.The campus also provides scholarship to students falling under specific criteria and some may be even get a full concession.
Campus Life
The university provides a corporate atmosphere and should not be an option if you are looking for a good campus life. The number of fests are limited and Estascia is one the main fests . The infrastructure is not at all up to the mark and campus area is very small . Sports culture is very poor and the campus doesn't even have a proper playground or basketball and volleyball courts. There are a lot of student clubs and various opportunities to enhance your skills . Tech fests are quite interesting.
Admission
Any Student who has completed his 12th standard or an equivalent course may apply for the college. The admission to the university is via an entrance examination called IEMJEE. The application form is available on the online portal of IEM college. The examination date and time are provided to the applicant via Email and the candidate is subject to a single attempt. The university needs to improve the level of its examination.
Faculty
Most of the faculty are not up to the mark for the level of an university. They mostly explain concepts in their mother tongue (Bengali ) which creates a problem for the non Bengali students. The faculty members are approachable but some of them are extremely rude and arrogant.
