Entrance Preview

Tamil Nadu Engineering Counselling .My cut off was 196.50. With MBC quota I got the seat for CSE in PSG tech .It is the second top college rankwise in tamil nadu.Hence I opted this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

PSG tech is an autonomous institution.It curriculum is comparable to the IIT pattarn.Only difference is the examination and question pattern will be followed according to the anna university instruction.

Internships Opportunities

We have 2 subjects and one project in the 8th(final) semester. If we complete those two papers in the 6th and 7th semester via Fast track. We are allowed to do our final year project via Internship in the industry. All the major core companies visit PSG every year .Chances for internship is 100%. I got internship in Intel Technologies pvt ltd, Bangalore.

Placement Experience

Mostly 90 to 95% placement will be there ever year D.E shaw 16 lpa ,Goldman sachs 11 lpa, Cisco 10 lpa, Microsoft 14 lpa, Amazon 11 lpa, EBay 7 lpa, Thought works 6 lpa, Intel 6 lpa, Amadeus 8 lpa, Caterpillar 7 lpa, Juniper Networks 7 lpa, Trimble 5.5 lpa, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, CTS, IBM.

College Events

Only one cultural - "Intrams"every year. Only college students will be allowed.Department wise technical events will be held every semester.It will be conducted by the student itself. There other college students can participate.In CSE "KRIYA" will be conducted.There are clubs where the students can join and show case their talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is feasible. College fee will be 34,000 odd semester and 12 thousand even semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students can avail Sc/ST scholarship. First Graduate facility is also there. PSG charity trust ensures no students drop out of college due to monetary problem. The students also can apply for educational loan.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Psg college of technology real experience

An Honest look at PSG COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY what to expect

I had applied psg,cit,thapar I got confirmed from these three but the main reason I choose psg is course curriculum and the internship it will help you to gain good knowledge and place in good company so comparing other colleges psg is better The admission process of my course there is 4 courses of 5years integrated msc (ds,cs,ss,tcs ) To join in these there are 3rounds 1.12th percentage 2.entrance exam. 3.interview Your 12th score is must be more than 85 The entrance exam is based on 11th and 12th mathmatics And the interview has some technical questions and mathmatics Iam not feared about 1st and 2nd round because my 12th score is very good and Iam well in mathmatics but the 3rd interview round was very good experience for me I had a good chance to prove my skills I had little fear after completing I got 3rd position in the entrance exam Finally it was a great experience for me...Read More
